The U.S. Defense Department is facing a lawsuit to turn over emails and documents about how the agency came to delete the phrase "Duty, Honor, Country" from the mission statement of the United States Military Academy at West Point. The conservative legal watchdog organization Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit against the Defense Department last week after the Military Academy failed to respond to its Freedom of Information Act request filed in March 2024. While the words "Duty, Honor, Country" remain the academy's motto, West Point Superintendent Lt. Gen. Steven Gilland said in March that following a year-and-a-half assessment, the mission...

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has updated its mission statement with a new statement that does not include gendered language. According to a VA press release, the prior mission statement read, "To fulfill President Lincoln’s promise 'to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan' by serving and honoring the men and women who are America’s veterans." The new statement drops the gender-specific terminology and no longer includes the Lincoln quote, though it still references the sixteenth president. The text of the new statement reads, "To fulfill President Lincoln's promise to...
  • Path to certain failure: NeverTrump + NeverCruz = NeverWin = LostSCOTUS = LostFreedom = LostNation

Captain obvious here again, but NeverTrump/NeverCruz is not the way. We all have our favorites, but don't lose sight of the mission. The mission on FR is to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our POSTERITY!! It's a lot bigger than you or me or our personal opinions or egos. It's about the very survival of our nation and the promise of freedom for future generations. Reagan said that freedom is never more than one generation from extinction and he was 100% correct. President Clinton or President Sanders means the end of freedom in America. Do not let...

My eldest son has just graduated from high school here in Texas and is on his way to college. Trying to recall that time of my own life, I visited the website of my high school: Sachem High School (now called Sachem North) in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY. I was feeling rather nostalgic until I came upon the school's "mission statement", below: "The mission of the entire Sachem North Community is to develop students' self- awareness, social consciousness, and motivation leading to the establishment of short and long-range goals. These goals will be achieved by applying the skills necessary to become...
