Dear Digital Family of Friends: It is with great regret that I inform you that our beloved CEO Ken Olsen passed away, yesterday in Indiana, with his immediate family all around him. Ken had been in ill health for the last few months and was in Hospice care. Sad time for their family now, but Ken and Alliki had a wonderful life. It's sad to know that they both have now passed. More information will follow in the Boston Globe obituary sometime this week. I do believe there will be a Memorial Service (open to the public) to celebrate Ken's...

At the heart of the complaint to the court is the suspicion that Obama has engaged in Social Security fraud by using a number initially issued to another person.

Taitz contends the Social Security number Obama has used the most often since around 1980 was, according to Lexis Nexis and Choice Point, initially assigned to an elderly individual born in 1890 who resided in Connecticut.

With the 100th anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s birthday (February 6) only days away, one San Diego resident is officially launching a new proposal to rename the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge in honor of the 40th President of the United States. Vasquez intends to gather more than 1,000 signatures over the next few weeks on the Reagan-Coronado Memorial Bridge website, www.ronaldreaganbridge.com, and present them to elected officials shortly after...

Is the new General Assembly going through the motions of serving the people of North Carolina? I want North Carolina to step up and retake its place in our history as leading the way for maintaining states’ rights as succinctly outlined in the tenth amendment of the Constitution of the United States: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. Thomas Burke should be recognized in our schools for his role in representing the once great state of North Carolina:...

VAWA Is an Excellent Target for Spending Cuts By Phyllis Schlafly 2/1/2011 While the U.S. House is trying to figure out how to cut wasteful and/or extravagant federal spending, members should be mindful of Reagan's advice to begin by cutting programs that are harmful. One that fits this definition is the billion-dollar-a-year Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), now up for re-authorization. This week is the 18th anniversary of an event that precipitated passage of VAWA in 1994. It's known as the Super Bowl Hoax, the assertion made on Jan. 28, 1993, in Pasadena, Calif., with fulsome media coverage, that more...

According to the New York Post Adhami, 44, said being gay was a 'painful trial' which comes as a result of past trauma. He said: 'An enormously overwhelming percentage of people struggle with homosexual feeling because of some form of violent emotional or sexual abuse at some point in their life. A small, tiny percentage of people are born with a natural inclination that they cannot explain. You find this in the animal kingdom at some level as well.' Adhami was named Imam and senior adviser of the proposed mosque by Park51, the organisation behind it. Fred Sainz, a spokesman...

Mortgages rejected by due-diligence firm were lumped in, crisis panel says. Big banks accepted substandard loans to package into securities during the buildup to the financial crisis, even though a due-diligence service they hired to examine the loans rejected many of them as “deficient,” according to a crisis fact-finding panel. The Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission on Thursday released a widely anticipated report on the causes of the 2008 economic meltdown. The panel focused a section of its study on a sample of 911,039 mortgages analyzed by Clayton Holdings — a provider of due-diligence services for large financial institutions based in...

How about we win the present, Barry?Ralph Alter Leave it to a utopian socialist barely tethered to reality to suggest that a campaign to "Win the Future" should begin with an emphasis on technologies proven as failures long ago. Obama is so stuck on the green leftovers on his plate from a steady diet of 60's environmentalism and climate change alarm that he is unable to visualize a truly brave new world. Only a blinkered utopian would consider the erector-set primitive Soviet Sputnik project as a symbol of the future. The Russians may have beaten us to the punch with...

CHALLAH @ WND (h/t ElderofZiyon) NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Rutgers University campus police tonight barred some 400 Jewish students and their supporters, including some Holocaust survivors, from attending what was billed as an anti-Zionist gathering at the state school tonight. The student-sponsored event was announced with an open invitation campus-wide, and Rutgers policy is for all student activities to be open to the public. However, when the sponsoring organizations of "Never Again for Anyone" saw they were outnumbered by Jewish students and their supporters by about 4-to-1, they asked campus policy to bar students wearing kippas – and eventually limited...

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Rafael Nadal's bid to win four straight Grand Slam tournaments is over. The injured Nadal lost for the second straight year in the Australian Open quarterfinals, going down 6-4, 6-2, 6-3 Wednesday to fellow Spaniard David Ferrer. Nadal, who appeared to have tears in his eyes during a changeover while trailing 3-0 in the third set, took a medical timeout for an apparent leg injury after three games. He was clearly out of sorts, failing to chase down balls that he would ordinarily return easily. "This is a difficult day for me," Nadal said. "Today I can't...

During the State Dinner in White House, Chinese Nationalist Pianist, Lang Lang, Insulted America The Epoch Times has a stunning story on January 22. Unknown to most Americans, China insulted the United States right in front of Obama and the world by having its nationalist pianist, Lang Lang, play a Chinese propaganda song that called Americans "jackals" during the Chinese sponsored concert during the recent state dinner in Washington D.C. Chinese nationalists have been hailing this stick in the eye of the U.S. since it occurred at the state dinner on January 19. The song was titled "My Homeland" and...
