The best defense is a good offense. If Trump's payments to Stormy through Cohen were illegal campaign contributions, then the sexual harassment payments by congressmen were too.

BEL AIR, Maryland (CNN/WJZ/Meredith) – Police in Bel Air, Maryland are searching for the person who was caught on camera stealing a package from someone's doorstep. But police say the suspect is no more than eight years old. In broad daylight, a little girl became the center of attention. She's the tiniest porch pirate seen so far, and it's all caught on a home security camera. Vallan Hardison had ordered a pair of boots online. She said she was shocked to find out such a young child came up to her door and stole the package containing the boots. In...

The market seems to be in turmoil in the last 3 months. NO one knows how to accurately predict it. It falls for the simplest reasons and struggles to gain for any consistent periods. As far as I'm concerned for no reason. Most economic news is good, so I think the market should reflect that. But it doesn't. Why?Because of this behavior, there is no way in the world Social Security benefits should be tied to it.What do you think?

I'm looking for a large-print Bible with a large-print commentary (preferably NKJV). I've seen many large-print Bibles that include a commentary. But the commentary is always in small print. And that kind of defeats the whole purpose. So if anyone knows of a large-print Bible with a good large-print commentary, please let me know.

On November 18, 37-year-old José Garcia reached the finish line of the Bakersfield Marathon—but he didn’t cross alone. Before the end, Garcia went up to the sidelines to take hold of his 76-year-old mother-in-law, Odilia Esparza, who is battling late-stage Alzheimer’s disease, so she could finish the race with him. Esparza was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2010, and the disease has progressed to the point she can no longer walk, talk, or recognize her family members. But Esparza’s daughter, Daniela, fondly remembers the days before her adopted mother’s illness. While she was not a runner, she was a big believer...

During last year’s Dallas Marathon relay, Dwayne Pickens had only 5.2 miles for his segment, and he was confident that he’d breeze through it, considering he’d run eight miles the weekend before. About two miles in, the breathing issues started. He told Runner’s World that it was a cold morning, so he thought the cool air was affecting his lungs and making it more challenging to breathe. The next thing he remembers is waking up in the emergency room, where he found out that, technically, he’d been dead on the course for about two minutes. Although he’d never had any...

My wife has had Humana for several years and we're both quite satisfied with the service they provide her. And this is not an advertisement for them. Yesterday she got a package with a return label of VRI in Sullivan, Il. I opened it up and inside there was a letter and a USPS return packet with the address label going to Valued Relationships Inc. in Sullivan Il. The one sheet letter said that her PERS service was ending and that the unit was to be returned. PERS stands for Personal Emergency Reponse System. Its the unit you wear and...

Tonight, the United Launch Alliance (ULA) is set to launch its most powerful rocket — the Delta IV Heavy — sending up a secret spy satellite for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) from California. The mission will be the 132nd mission for the ULA, and the latest of many launches the company has done for the NRO, a significant customer of the launch provider. NRO keeps the purposes of its missions under wraps. However, the satellite is likely pretty heavy and is perhaps going to a high orbit if it requires the power of the Delta IV Heavy. The rocket...

She is her father’s daughter. Dominique Sharpton, daughter of shakedown artist Al Sharpton, scored a $95,000 settlement from the city over a sprained ankle — even though she had posted snaps of herself on social media climbing a mountain in Bali and strutting around in high heels just seven months after the fall. It took nearly four years, but de Blasio administration lawyers finally threw in the towel in the case. “After a thorough evaluation, we determined that settling this case was in the best interest of the city,” said a spokesman for the city Law Department. The 32-year-old Brooklyn resident,...

Following the two court filings on President Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen and his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, the White House has dismissed the case as the President declared himself "totally" clear. The sentencing memo registered by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York regarding the investigation and probe into the personal business dealings of Cohen didn't include fresh or valuable information, according to Sarah Sanders, White House Press Secretary.

Some reports say there was panic after pepper spray was fired inside the club in the town of Corinaldo, near the eastern coastal city of Ancona. Up to 1,000 people were inside the Lanterna Azzurra club attending a concert by rapper Sfera Ebbasta. Five of the victims were 14 to 16 years old. The sixth was a 39-year-old woman. She had gone to the club with her daughter. The incident took place at about 01:00 (midnight GMT)… The concert had not yet begun when "acrid smell" forced crowds to rush towards the emergency exits. • Study: Board games don't do enough to reflect the diversity of America's population

Research shows that demographics within the board game industry do not directly mirror that of the population of North America. Some say this lends itself to the exclusion and “marginalization” of minorities. Many game journalists and researchers have concluded that the video game industry is dangerously masculine. The situation is actually just as bad, if not worse, when it comes to traditional board games, according to game researcher Tanya Pobuda, who says that much like the video game community, the world of board games is a “white-male dominated space.” Pobuda, who researches games and simulation at Ryerson University, has released...

Being a Democrat must be a real burden. After all, hanging out with a bunch of ignorant rubes who don't understand the basic concepts of collectivism has to be tedious. And providing those ignorant rubes with some ejucatin is obviously more than a full-time job. And there are just so many ignorant rubes out there to be ejucatin. Look how many voted for President Trump! For some reason, us ignorant rubes just don't get it, despite the glorious public education we received. Twelve years of public education, plus four — or more — additional years in institutes of higher learning...

I'm shopping for a new printer for my business; I'm hoping to buy it early next year. Any advice from tech-savvy Freepers who are business owners? Key features I need are: 1. I'm looking for a color laser printer 2. It has to last a long time (my HP 2100 black & white printer lasted more than ten years before I replaced it a few years ago). 3. Despite the long life, I don't use it a lot. I typically print less than 200 sheets in a month. 4. Printing sheets as large as 11"x17" would be a nice feature,...

Since Robert Mueller's Special Counsel investigation into the 2016 presidential election was launched in May 2017, the narrative from the left and their allies in the media has centered on the Trump campaign. But it isn't just the Trump campaign that has been under scrutiny from Mueller's investigators. Washington D.C. lobbyist Tony Podesta, the brother of former Clinton Campaign Chairman John Podesta, is reportedly under investigation for alleged criminal behavior. The probe of Podesta and his Democratic-leaning lobbying firm grew out of Mueller's inquiry into the finances of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, according to the sources. As special...

A Walmart spokeswoman confirmed to CNN the actor and filmmaker paid off $432,635 worth of layaway items at two stores in the Atlanta metro area. Graham and his cohorts appear once again to have failed to learn the lessons from past mistakes, most notably their previous insistence upon regime change in Libya, Egypt, and Iraq. Libya, Graham, Rubio, and others joined the Obama administration in rallying support for the toppling of the Libyan government. It resulted in the empowerment of al Qaeda and ISIS-linked groups and the environment that produced the attack in Benghazi, which killed four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. In Egypt, a similar regime change coalition celebrated when the Muslim Brotherhood took over Cairo and proceeded to inflict chaos and violence upon...

Jurors in drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman’s trial Thursday watched footage of the first-ever US Coast Guard interception of a cocaine-packed submarine. Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Todd Bagetis, who took part in the September 2008 seizure, said his crew had been patrolling international waters when they came across the semi-submersible, some 350 miles east of Guatemala. Using night-vision goggles, his team boarded the submarine — where an irate crew immediately tried to sink the boat and toss off the lawmen. “They put the vessel in [reverse] and tried to throw my crew off. My crew were hanging onto the...
