Are you Woke? It was not too long ago that such a question would have been greeted with a puzzled disdain for its grammatical barbarism. It is now the question of the moment, no longer limited to college campuses as part of the initiation rites to higher learning. In certain political circles, it has already become the code word for being taken seriously on policy questions. As Mark Pulliam notes in “Slouching Toward Totalitarianism,” the rise of wokeness as a powerful political force has been extraordinarily rapid, “almost overnight.” In a few short years it moved from something living in assorted...

I read Fox News has hired consultants to figure out why their ratings have totally tanked, absolute media disaster. Just in case your consultants lie to you here is the reason' You kept eliminating people from your network who we really liked. You allowed aholes like Wallace to pretend he didn't know what guys like Hannity was proving. You hired 2 DNC operatives, one of them gave Hillary CNN debates questions. Lets get to the quick, you guys are compromised, get stuffed!

Well, 2020 is finally behind us. You don’t need to be a soothsayer to predict that there will be plenty of controversy about social media, racism, and above all Donald Trump. The greatest achievement of Trump is that he is going to live rent-free inside the heads of liberals forever. He really is the End of History: all you’ll need to do from now until Judgment Day to trigger a liberal is just say, “Trump,” and sit back and watch the fun. Even better than the ghost of Joe McCarthy.

Ilhan Omar defends man who shot at policeIn Minneapolis, a guy named Dolal Idd initiated a gunfight with police. The police responded by doing exactly what they were trained to do. The whole thing was recorded on video. You can read about it at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Dolal_IddIlhan Omar commented on this with the following:“MPD is a joke, this isn’t transparency or accountability.”“A man was killed, his family terrorized & robbed of a son and all they are left w/ is more questions than answers.” “Let’s stop normalizing + justifying state sanctioned murder by those who take an oath to uphold the law.”Source:...

Whatever else might have once been said about liberal bias at the New York Times, at least you could say that they covered the elites. What else can you say about their wedding announcements section, which, as I think David Brooks once joked, reads more like a mergers and acquisitions page, since the couples spotlighted are invariably ivy league uber-overclass climbers. But now it seems the Times mission is to provide cover for the elites. Their long story about the Hilaria Baldwin scandal a couple days ago reads like a Babylon Bee parody designed to ward off any criticism of lying...

Let’s face it–2020 sucked big time—it was a train wreck. 2020 was to good years as former president Bubba Clinton is to monogamy, Joe Biden is to having a sharp mind, and/or Chuck Schumer is to putting the love of country before politics. The year started with China giving the WHO a half-true about the discovery of COVID-19, the Democrats impeaching President Trump on a bogus charge, and me being put in Facebook jail for about a month. It ended with the fraud-laden presidential election of a man who is obviously suffering from a loss of mental capacity, congress creating...

Today marks 290 days since the institution of the infamous “Flatten the Curve,” AKA The Deep State’s Plot to Drive Us Crazy, Make Us Stupid, and Take Over the World. 15 days, they told us, for 15 days/roughly 2 weeks we need to work from home, close non-essential business, cancel concerts, baby showers, bingo games, etc., yada, yada, you know “the thing” (to show my solidarity with a certain presidential candidate) in order to give hospitals a chance to gear up for huge, terrible, overwhelming waves of ‘rona patients. 15 days. Instead, 15 days has now become 290 days. We...

Across the country, there is general consensus that 2020 has been the "worst year ever." According to studies, 82% of Americans agree that 2020 has been a terrible year of unprecedented suffering and misery. Experts confirmed that 2020 was indeed the worst year, provided you have never lived in virtually any other time period in all of human history. "We noticed that most of the respondents who called 2020 the worst year also enjoyed delicious food being delivered to them for 8 months while they sat on their couches with the air conditioning on and binge-watched shows the whole time,"...

I'm looking for a thread about a UK "man on the street" view of the Presidential election. I forgot to bookmark it.The post linked to the site, where the author linked to the acutal post on a UK man on the street view. The writer in eloquent British style (He's British, of course he's a wordsmith) made several points about how the U.S. and rest of the world view each other that are not brought up in the American news media. It pointed out how insulated Americans are from the rest of the world, how much of the world is...

Sometimes the military needs a little bit of nudging to determine it actually needs a new weapon. That might just be the short version of the history of the Barrett M82. The U.S. military has a proven track record of sometimes not seeing the potential, and this was true initially of the machine gun – and more recently with a very high powered sniper rifle. The concept of large rifles isn’t entirely new. Large caliber “wall guns” had been used since the 16th century in Europe, and remained in use throughout the 18th and 19th century in India and China...

Or maybe not. Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report | CDC. Maybe this falls under the heading of Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics. Many rifles may fall into the “Long Range Sniper Weapon” category, but in the case of the C15 (or, the Canadian Army’s designation for the McMillan TAC-50) it has the distinction of being a deadly firearm. And it didn’t just set the record for the longest kill with a rifle; the C15 was used on three separate occasions to set that record over a 15-year time span.
