First Lady Michelle Obama explains how she deals with “the haters” as she prepares to leave the White House with her husband in January. During an interview with Oprah Winfrey, the First Lady explained that she learned how to turn off social media and traditional media criticism of her family. “You can’t be reading all that stuff. I mean, that’s like letting somebody just walk up and slap you, you know?” she said. “You would never just sit there and go, slap me in the face and I’m good with it.”
