Democrats and the left continue to lose their minds over Donald Trump's decision to name Ohio Senator JD Vance as his running mate. My colleague Mike Miller illustrated the unhinged rage besetting the other side: Unquestionably, the hood ornament of the Democrat rage rhetoric clown car is Joe Biden. Just six days ago, on July 8, Biden called Trump "an existential threat to democracy," a phrase he repeats ad nauseam. Is it reasonable to assume that low-information crackpots across the fruited plain might be impacted by such hateful, histrionic rhetoric? Of course, it is: it has happened throughout history.

A Florida man accused of making threats against former President Donald Trump, U.S. Sen. JD Vance and their families on social media was arrested on Friday, police said. The Jupiter Police Department said in a news release that officers arrested Michael W. Wiseman on charges of written threats to kill. SNIP Detectives said Wiseman had made multiple written threats on Facebook against Trump and Vance, who became the Republican presidential and vice presidential nominees, respectively, this week.
