Michael Voris, the ceo of St Michael's Media and Church Militant TV and host of the popular internet show the Vortex (where lies and falsehoods are sucked up trapped and exposed) has recently come out about his past before he returned to the Catholic faith after leading what he claimed was a sinful and bad life. Michael Voris revealed recently the full blown truth about it. Michael it turns out was gay. According to Voris, he despised his past so much that he did not ever mention what happened. That was until the Archdiocese of New York which had allowed...

This is excellent. Ed Pentin describes the circumstances of his Kasper interview and gives his impression of the Synod. Kudos to Michael Voris for the good work he has done reporting from Rome these past weeks.

Homofascist Tyranny The tyranny of homofascism must be opposed By Michael Voris The Vortex April 9, 2014 Grab a pen and write the word down as quickly as you can and start using it everywhere – the word is .. homofascists .. as in homofascism. A working definition you ask? How’s this for starters? Homofascism – “a way of organizing a society in which homosexualists impose their agenda with which no one is allowed to disagree or have any appeal to the contrary without being subjected to severe consequences of ridicule, slander, libel, fines, public demonstrations, distortions, denial of free...

How's this for irony - while Mike has finally won the admiration of Mark Sheat, the Vortex trilogy has given Shea the ammunition to call faithful Catholics (including yours truly) Francis haters, insane reactionaries and kooks committing mortal sins against charity. (I am not sending traffic to his blog so he can earn money off of his post) By refusing to distinguish sedevacanists from honorable and faithful Catholics, that is quite a service Mike has done for faithful Catholics. Oh well. No good deed goes unpunished. I watched the last Vortex which suggested that we all act like nothing is...

If you’re a Catholic, you’ve got an Internet connection or a Facebook page, and you’re a fan of Catholic online content, then there’s probably a good chance that you’ve come across at least one or two videos produced by Michael Voris. He’s a man serious about what he does, as evidenced by his passionate expressions of religious fervor. And ‘his star is on the rise’ – as they would say in the entertainment business – as evidenced by the growing number of hits his videos are attracting on YouTube, etc. However, it’s not just his viewership that is increasing, but so...

It’s been quite a belligerent weekend in the Catholic blogosphere, hasn’t it? First there was the Catholic Answers brouhaha, which was started in part by my post regarding the financial crisis looming at that great Catholic apologetics apostolate. Then there was Michael Voris, chest thumping, publishing the salaries of well known Catholic media personalities, then castigating them for earning wages which are commensurate with their professional achievement and marketplace value, and which are sufficient to support their families. Two seemingly unrelated dust-ups, but with a common element: In both cases the flames of discord were fanned by traditional Catholics. It’s...

Fr. Dwight Longenecker, in a fit of charity seldom demonstrated by the Internet Sanhedrin, recently asked: “Do we need Michael Voris?†In the lead up to the US presidential election, I watched quite a bit of Michael Voris, but ever since the election of Pope Francis, I haven’t been visiting The Vortex very often. Mr. Voris has a lot of interesting things to say, but it is mostly the same complaint about the bishops, and never seems willing to go to the heart of the matter. In fact, I spend more time on the Catholic Answers forum than I do...

Isn't that a fascinating bit of information? I thought it might be of interest to my readers, seeing that Voris is now blasting Catholic Answers ("CA") regularly: his latest stunt (video of 8-29-13) being a cynical, derisive "expose" of the salaries made by several persons at CA (which -- I should note -- was already public information, since it is a non-profit corporation). Now he's making out that CA has taken a huge hit because they dared to do two shows on radical Catholic reactionaries, and he claims this is part of the reason why they are doing a big...

Until now I have kept mum about the controversial self appointed prophet Michael Voris. However, yesterday I viewed his latest video in which he ‘exposes’ the salaries of people he disparagingly calls ‘professional Catholics.’ He calls out Catholic radio host Al Kresta, author and founder of the apologetics apostolate Karl Keating and his employees Tim Staples and Jimmy Akin. He accuses them of taking exorbitant salaries, then proclaims that his salary is only $40,000.00. It’s not necessarily a bad thing to hold people accountable and to make sure our ministries are financially sound and communications are transparent. However, there are...

I’ve long been a defender of Michael Voris.  And I hate it. What do I mean?  Well, I mean this: Michael Voris is the representative of a certain branch of Catholic opinion, one to which I belong.  He is a part of the post-Summorum Pontificum, neo-traditionalist wing of the Church: we love the traditional Mass and traditional Catholic liturgical/disciplinary practices, Pope Benedict XVI, and we are slightly suspicious of Vatican II while still endorsing Benedict’s Hermeneutic of Continuity.  He is also a gadfly who is not afraid to criticize the American bishops, about whom there is much that merits criticism.Voris and...

Leave the Church of Nice vort-2013-07-09 Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and exposed. I’m Michael Voris. Here is an appeal to any Catholic in the Church of Nice, or anyone who has a friend or relative in the Church Nice, please leave it now. What is the Church of Nice? It's a worship community that sort of looks Catholic and OFFICIALLY is Catholic – but at the end of the day, authentic Catholicism has been sucked out of it in almost every possible way. There are all kinds of signs you can...

(click on image above to view the video) Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and exposed. I’m Michael Voris reporting to you from the annual Acton Institute where many hundreds of individuals gather every summer here in Grand Rapids Michigan. There are dozens of classes that get into the nitty-gritty of these types of issues but there is an overall theme - to examine in broad terms the relationship between Christianity, the Government and Economics. And there is an interesting jumping off point in this type of discussion. The relationship between the Church...

Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.” They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can...

In her article, "How to Speak About Homosexuality," (and subsequent follow-up, "What I Mean By Acceptance"), former gay-turned-committed-Catholic author Melinda Selmys makes first one, then two attempts to trash and bash Michael Voris’ “FBI (Faith Based Investigation) into Homosexuality,” with mixed—or more accurately—mixed-up results. And here, the fault is not so much Selmys', who admits her journey from "sin" and "confusion" to Truth and Catholicism is still filled with "doubts, depression, self-loathing, and intellectual pride," but with First Things, who offers up the still-evolving Melinda as the authentic voice of Catholic/gay evangelization without the brash-but-accurate corrections of someone like Mike....

Hello everyone and welcome to this Vortex SPECIAL REPORT where lies and falsehoods are trapped and exposed. I’m Michael Voris. There is a passage in the Book of Numbers – “be sure your sins will find you out”. Well, at long last, that is finally happening to the homosexual network inside the Church .. even in the Vatican itself. To be certain .. the tentacles of this beast go much deeper and extend much further than even many of the most suspicious-minded may have initially thought...

Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and exposed. I’m Michael Voris. A big question has erupted lately around the question of how should Catholics vote. The choice for faithful Catholics isn’t between Obama and Romney. The idea of voting for Obama is simply off the table. No the choice is between voting for Romney or not. Under the “or not” category that could mean either just not voting for president at all, voting for a 3rd party guy or writing someone in. Now immediately – the knee jerk and valid response on the...
