The radical Islamic Caliph Organization, led by the imprisoned Memit Kaplan, will remain outlawed in Germany, pending a possible appeal to the Federal Constitutional Court. The Federal Administrative Court, rejecting a bid to have the German Interior Ministry's ban on the organization overturned, ruled on Wednesday that the Cologne-based group had forfeited its claims to protection under the constitutional guarantee of freedom of religion by making public calls for violence against opponents.
