Monday marked a significant point in U.S. history, with President Donald Trump staging a triumphant return to the White House and following his inauguration with a slew of executive actions aimed at furthering his MAGA mission. One issue he had been discussing at length in recent weeks involved renaming the Gulf of Mexico, and an announcement on the first day of his second term confirmed that he was already in the process of ordering its named changed to the Gulf of America. Another natural feature, the nation’s tallest mountain, was also included in the statement, as Fox News reported: The...

I was reading over the Executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America and saw this section: Sec. 5. Additional Action. The Secretary of Interior may solicit public and intergovernmental input regarding additional patriots to honor, particularly in light of America’s semiquincentennial celebration, and shall recommend action to me, through the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy. So my question is...what else can we recommend to be renamed? I think we've become so used to having the left rename things with little to no blowback that we think it's not important. But it is. Remember...

When President McKinley was shot in 1901, few thought his life was in danger. And so V.P. Theodore Roosevelt continued family vacation in the Adirondacks until a messenger arrived with the news that McKinley had died and therefore they were now the first family. Years later, TR's oldest daughter Alice Roosevelt Longworth recalled the evening for a friend. who remarked: "Oh, that must have been a moment of terrible sadness." Upon which Alice looked at him, askance. "Are you joking?”

President William McKinley believed in luck. He specifically believed in the luck brought by red carnations, which is why he wore one to the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York, on September 6, 1901. When a little girl asked him for the flower, the president gave it to her. Then, Leon Czolgosz shot McKinley in the abdomen

FReepers: Try doing a search for William Mickinley using Goog and check out how the results come up. We did this, and the way the results are posted is creepy. There is a picture of Trump posted, next to pic of Mickinley (we did not put Trump's name in the search) and underneath President Trump's pic is the word died and date of 9/14/1901. While this refers to the date of Mickinley's death, it's just disturbing IMO.

Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee have created a website on which they have released full transcripts of the testimony of Ambassadors Yovanovitch, McKinley, Volker, Sondland, Taylor; Lt. Col Vindland; Deputy Assistant Secretaries Kent and Cooper; NSC Senior Director for Europe and Russia Dr. Hill; and advisors to Ambassador Volker Catherine Croft and Christopher Anderson. The website is ... pretty flashy for a government page that's supposed to be informative? Lots of highlighting and the whole thing is called "Defend our Democracy" so y'know BARF ALERT... BUT... they do put (somewhat) redacted transcripts of the testimony online so we can...
