The doctors, nurses and medics here, some from McChord Air Force Base and Madigan Army Medical Center in the state of Washington, save the lives of servicemembers who are wounded while supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Thunderbirds perform precision aerial maneuvers in F-16 Fighting Falcons, highlighting the capabilities of the modern high-performance aircraft. Besides the Thunderbirds, other demonstrations include Russian Thunder, Bud Granley Family Airshows, the Red Baron Pizza Squadron, the Red Bull Mig-17, Tim Weber in the Extra 300L, a T-6 Texan II, the U.S. Air Force Academy parachute team’s Wings of Blue, a C-17 and static displays of old and new aircraft.
