As headlines have Meredith Vieira leaving the "Today" show, a source tells ET and The Insider that Matt Lauer has notified his NBC bosses that he will be resigning from the "Today" show when his contract expires on December 31, 2012. Could he be thinking about re-teaming with his former "Today" show co-host Katie Couric and his former "Today" show executive producer Jeff Zucker? It has been widely speculated that Couric is expected to leave the "CBS Evening News" and launch her own talk show with Zucker. The "Today" show released a statement Wednesday, saying, "There seems to be an...

Have you ever considered just how empty some of our parental directives actually are? With phrases like, “Words can never hurt you” or “Just ignore him, and he’ll leave you alone.” With a straight face, we give our hand-me-down wisdom with little thought to what we are saying– as the kid stares at us in utter disbelief. Even a child knows that’s a suicidal playground strategy. In the grown up world, words can get you beheaded, and sharing can get you shot with your own gun. Nonetheless, in a jaw dropping display of leftist moral superiority (not to mention military...

Rarely am I as outraged by the dying Democrat "mainstream" media as I am today. Usually, inconsequential mice like Lauer can be brushed off like dandruff, but this latest cheap shot at Bush must get a full airing and should be seen by as many people as possible. You will get the idea quickly, within the first minute or so of this YouTube video (link below and above). In the video you will see Lauer show a portion of his recent interview with Bush during which he asked Bush about Kanye West's declaration in the aftermath of Hurrican Katrina that,...

Asked to name the person who preceded Meredith Vieira as his Today sidekick, Matt Lauer declined to mention Katie Couric, claiming "there was no one ever. No one came before Meredith." Matt's convenient case of amnesia came in response to a question from Robin Hall, who is celebrating his 10th and last year as executive producer of the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. Reminiscing with Matt and Meredith, an impish Hall had clearly decided to stir up a little trouble with his question. But Matt wouldn't bite. View video after the jump.

No, not that v-word. V . . . as in vouchers. They might as well have been a couple of Soviet apparatchiks in 1955 discussing implementing better production procedures in diesel-engine factories. You can talk all day about “best practices, “what works,” blah, blah, blah. But there’s only one thing that has or will ever worked to improve the quality of any product, from football teams to cars to education: competition. The only way to introduce real competition into education is via vouchers: giving parents and children real choice and making all schools—from government ones to parochial to private—compete on...

Here is video of Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio talking with Matt Lauer on The Today Show this morning, where Lauer asked him if he worried the state's "image will suffer" as a result of their new Anti-Illegal Immigration Law. To illustrate his point, Lauer showed a political cartoon that had people being questioned in Arizona for ordering Nachos at a restaurant. Arpaio responded that he did not worry it will hurt the state's image, but instead believes it will help Arizona and attract others to move there. He said by getting rid of the illegal workers, it will open up...

Matt Lauer never ceases to surprise people. Just when you think he cant get anymore biased he pushes the envelope once again. Lauer's guest on the Today show this morning was Mitt Romney, former Mass. Governor and Presidential aspirant. Romney is on a publicity tour for his new book, No Apology. Instead of asking legitimate questions of Romney, Lauer acted as if he was a Democrat debating Romney in a Presidential battle.

It took a tough question from Matt Lauer, but after having laughably claimed that "the system worked," Homeland Secretary Janet Napolitano has now conceded the obvious: that the security system that permitted Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to board NWA 253 with explosives "failed miserably." On Today and in other interviews this morning, Napolitano attempted to use her own ignorance as a shield. Each time she was hit with a hard question, her response was to the effect "yeah, we're wondering about that ourselves." She also continued to point the finger back at the Bush administration, repeatedly mentioning that the security procedures...

Matt Lauer always seems as if he is the emptiest of empty suits, and today was no different.Former George W Bush adviser Karl Rove appeared on the Today Show this morning, and Lauer looked kind of confused as he read of the list of questions probably written by the White House. He began by telling his liberal viewers that Rove was a right wing nut, or as Matt called him "a Fox News contributor". The guy is one of the most successful political strategists in our lifetime, but to Matt and his puppeteers he is simply a a Fox News...

CLICK ON ABOVE LINK TO WATCH MATT LAUER LOSE IS COOL AS HE INTERVIEWS MICHELLE MALKIN ON HEALTHCARE, SOTOMAYOR AND THE BIRTHERS ISSUE. Michelle Malkin was GREAT !! Articulate, informed and quite astute in her presentation. She was always the lady. As for Matt Lauer, what can I say ? Liberals always show their true colors when they cannot muster up any logical arguments.

Here’s that intriguing morning appearance I teased in Monday’s Hannity post. A bunch of you thought I was talking about “The View,” which broke my heart because how awesomely awesome would that have been? Ah well. Enjoy Lauer affecting shock at the idea that a guy who tried to prove his “authenticity” by spending 20 years in Reverend Wright’s Church of the Perpetual Grievance, who once famously accused Team McCain of having a problem with the fact that he doesn’t look like the other presidents on U.S. currency, and who was known to reference “Malcolm X” while addressing black audiences...

Matt Lauer interviewed Gov Sarah Palin today. They talked about the gas pipe line and then got into the Letterman comment (from about the 4:00 minute mark). Sarah told it like it was when Lauer pressed her. Matt tried to excuse Letterman and Sarah said "he was naive" and then he really got interesting! Matt finally had to give in (even thou he tried to defend Letterman). Was great! REALLY WORTH LISTENING TO!
