The San Francisco Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a day of remembrance Tuesday for Mario Woods, the stabbing suspect shot to death last month by several police officers, in a vote that ratcheted up tensions between the supervisors and the police union. Several supervisors railed against what they described as bullying behavior by the Police Officers Association, and said they would not be intimidated. The union called the resolution “completely inappropriate.â€
