    There may be more than 600 million metric tons of water ice sitting in craters at the moon’s north pole. The discovery, made by an Indian spacecraft, could mean big things for human colonization of our nearest neighbor. BBC: A radar experiment aboard India’s Chandrayaan-1 lunar spacecraft has identified thick deposits of water ice near the Moon’s north pole.
