Clayton County police are looking for the the owner of a pit bull after the dog attacked a man in Jonesboro on Wednesday. Jose Padilla was walking his Chihuahua on Brookwood Circle when a pit bull went after him and ended up biting him on his legs, Channel 2 Action News reports. Three people - one of them a 71-year-old woman - were attacked by at least one dog that was running loose through Golden Gate Park early Thursday, police said. The woman, identified as Bela Martin, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with bites on her lower legs and was in fair condition, said Rachael Kagan, a spokeswoman for the hospital.

TYLER, Texas — An 83-year-old east Texas woman is recovering after being attacked by a pit bull mix authorities say may have been used in illegal dog fighting.
