On Monday’s "Lou Dobbs Tonight," host Lou Dobbs took aim at Katie Couric and Bill Moyers for "silly public statements" they’ve made regarding the practice of wearing an American flag lapel pin. In the last 12 hours I saw Democratic Congressman Jay Inslee on Hannity & Colmes and Democratic Presidential Candidate John Kerry on The Today Show both wearing American flag lapel pins.It is common to see President Bush and senior adminstration members wearing these lapel pins since 9/11. I am curious to know if the DNC placed a directive to all party members that a lapel pin will help shore up there image of being soft on patriotism and national security.Has anyone else made this observation???
