RUSH: I want you to hear the standing ovation the Turtle got. This would never have happened… I don’t know how long it’s been since Mitch McConnell was greeted with this kind of love and respect and excitement by a Republican audience anywhere. But Donald Trump brought him on the stage at a MAGA rally in Richmond, Kentucky, on Saturday thanking the Turtle for standing firm on Kavanaugh. And listen to the reaction. Trump says Mitch McConnell "Kentucky tough"THE PRESIDENT: Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell. Come up here! CROWD: (loud cheers) RUSH: George Will is watching this and just unable...

President Donald Trump led a rousing cheer for Kentucky's senior senator, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, as he celebrated his administration's first two years in office during a political rally in Richmond, Kentucky. McConnell returned the compliment, asking the president to continue nominating judges for the federal bench so the GOP-led Senate can keep confirming them. Trump brought the state's other U.S. senator, Rand Paul to the stage, who pointed out how supportive the president has been of one of his health care proposals. The rally at Eastern Kentucky University gives Trump a forum to promote the campaigns of GOP candidates...

Another rally tonight by our tireless president. How does he do it. You may need to search for this event, as many of the cable news shoes are not going to carry it. I welcome anyone to post good links to this rally before or during. Polls and information posted on this forum by LS and Kevin Collins along with some insightful articles by Ed Morrissey and others indicate that we are winning in places no one thought possible. At the present time it looks likely that we will retain the majority in the House and pick up 4 to...

The hardest working man in Washington, DC, (maybe the planet) is again showing the GOP how it gets done. No other president in my lifetime has shown this much stamina, energy and positive attitude. I truly believe that he is winning over the media and the independents, and maybe a few democrats, little by little. In time, his approvals will be over 60%. Just three more weeks, My Friends, after this weekend. For many states, early voting start on Monday October 15!!!
  • Trump, Biden to campaign in Kentucky congressional district

President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden will campaign next week in Kentucky, with each seeking to sway a hotly contested 6th Congressional District race that could help determine which party controls the House of Representatives next year. Republican U.S. Rep. Andy Barr is in a tight race with Democrat Amy McGrath, a retired Marine fighter pilot. Trump's campaign said Friday it will hold a rally in Richmond, Kentucky, on Oct. 13. It will be Trump's third visit to Kentucky, but his first venture outside of the state's largest city of Louisville. Trump will appear at the Alumni...

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has defended President Trump on some of his most controversial moves, going against the prevailing sentiment of the libertarian movement with which he and his father, former Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), have long been identified. Some of the most libertarian-leaning members of Congress, such as Sens. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) and Ben Sasse (R-Neb.), and Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.), have served as forceful critics of Trump within the GOP. But Rand Paul, who prefers the mantle of constitutional conservative to libertarian, has repeatedly offered Trump a stirring defense. Paul last week called for the use of lie...

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky Republicans have added more than 58,000 registered voters since Donald Trump took office while Democrats have lost more than 2,500. The GOP registration boom nudged the number of registered Democrats below 50 percent in June for the first time in memory. The impressive registration gains have boosted the GOP’s confidence they can prevent a blue wave this November.

President Trump has a lot on the line in this fall’s midterm elections. So, he’s decided to turn for help to the man he trusts the most — himself. In the remaining 75 days until ballots are counted, Trump will invest at least 40 of them in campaigning for Republicans in both House and Senate races. He will spend additional time on fundraising for candidates and the party .And you may have noticed, this president is quite comfortable with spur-of-the-moment decisions. So, it’s likely he will add even more campaign days along the way as races and political needs develop....

Conservative Washington Political Action Committees are pumping money into Kentucky’s Sixth Congressional District and attacking Democratic Candidate Amy McGrath. The Congressional Leadership Fund released three ads on Wednesday in the district attacking Amy McGrath for being too liberal, soft on borders, and against the tax reform plan. The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the radio ad paints Amy McGrath “as liberal as Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders”. The first ad features local mother, Hannah Thornton, who benefited from the GOP tax plan. In the ad, she criticizes McGrath for being opposed to “a tax cut for working moms.” The second...

LEXINGTON- U.S. Representative Andy Barr, R-Lexington, has released his first attack ad against opponent Amy McGrath. The ad paints the former fighter pilot as “too liberal” for the sixth congressional district and uses clips of McGrath from various interviews and speeches. It is the second ad released by Barr. The race between Andy Barr and McGrath is tight, with Sabato’s Crystal Ball and Cook Political Report listing the race as a toss-up.

RICHMOND Former fighter pilot Amy McGrath surged to victory over Lexington Mayor Jim Gray Tuesday in the Democratic primary for Kentucky's 6th Congressional District, setting up a November election that will attract national money and attention as Democrats try to make Kentucky part of a possible blue wave in 2018. "Can you believe this?" McGrath asked the crowd at her victory party in Richmond. "What happened tonight was amazing. I couldn't be more humbled and more honored to be standing here tonight as your nominee." She is a candidate who fits the Democratic moment. The former fighter pilot — the...

" Kentucky is the state that gave us Rand Paul. He is the biggest highlight, however he is not alone like Ben Sasse in Nebraska. Thomas Massie is also a strong Conservative. This primary has a chance to unseat a major swamp creature. Aside from this one race, there wasn’t much action to be had. Mitch McConnell shows that Kentucky does not have a rich history in holding bad politicians accountable. So if there are any Conservative victories in Kentucky, they should be celebrated vocally."
