Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk made famous by her refusal to sign marriage licenses for gay couples, lost Tuesday in her reelection bid for the Rowan County clerkship. Davis, a Republican, lost to Democratic challenger Elwood Caudill Jr. by about 700 votes.

LEXINGTON- U.S. Representative Andy Barr, R-Lexington, has released his first attack ad against opponent Amy McGrath. The ad paints the former fighter pilot as “too liberal” for the sixth congressional district and uses clips of McGrath from various interviews and speeches. It is the second ad released by Barr. This primary has a chance to unseat a major swamp creature. Aside from this one race, there wasn’t much action to be had. Mitch McConnell shows that Kentucky does not have a rich history in holding bad politicians accountable. So if there are any Conservative victories in Kentucky, they should be celebrated vocally."
