Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) will not back down on his opposition to yet another lockdown — a move he denounced as “arbitrary.” Speaking with FOX Business on Thursday, Sen. Paul said the second wave of COVID-19 lockdowns are distracting from the gains that have been made with the vaccines. He ultimately hoped that the courts would intervene. “Let’s hope, in this case, the court will intervene,” Paul said. “I’ve been calling my governor for months ‘DWP,’ drunk with power, because he’s taken this power without any consent from the legislature.” “…the edicts that are coming from the governor, and from...

Sen. Rand Paul called out his “haters” Wednesday after he drew social media criticism for saying that contracting COVID-19 led people to have greater immunity than a vaccine would. “Why does the left accept immune theory when it comes to vaccines, but not when discussing naturally acquired immunity?” Paul asked in a tweet Tuesday. The tweet was preceded by another social media post in which he said natural immunity to COVID-19 was “99.9982% percent effective.” “Sad that Twitter haters argue that accepting the science of immunity means a person lacks compassion,” Paul said. “I have friends who are seriously ill...

“I’m going to do everything I can to try to prevent Biden from locking us up”.. Senator Rand Paul has promised to do everything within his power to resist and prevent lockdowns under a Biden administration, warning that if he does secure the Presidency Joe Biden will be happy for Americans to where masks permanently. “I’m going to do everything I can to try to prevent Biden from locking us up and locking us down and forcing us to wear masks forever. We can’t go on like this forever,” Paul urged ... Today, Biden’s talking more about a lockdown,” Paul...

To the establishment media’s apparent dismay, McConnell is not deeming the presidential election over, nor is he urging Trump to concede. “The president has every right to look into allegations and to request recounts under the law and notably the Constitution gives no role in this process to wealthy media corporations,” McConnell said on the Senate floor Monday, blasting the projections and “commentary of the press.” “The projections and commentary of the press do not get veto power over the legal rights of any citizen, including the President of the United States,” he continued. “Our institutions are actually built for...

President Trump should not be expected to “cheerfully, immediately” accept the outcome of the contested 2020 race and is “100 percent within his rights” to challenge the results, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said in a speech from the Senate floor on Monday. In his first remarks since Joe Biden was called the winner of the presidential election based on projections, McConnell defended Trump’s use of litigation to challenge vote counts in various states and blasted Democrats like Hillary Clinton for claiming Trump would try to steal the election.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Thursday called for those who have recovered from COVID-19 to “throw away their masks, go to restaurants, live again” as the coronavirus surges nationwide, falsely claiming those who have recovered from the virus are “now immune.” Paul, who tested positive for the virus in March, told Fox News that the 11 million Americans who have also recovered should “celebrate.” “We should tell them to throw away their masks, go to restaurants, live again, because these people are now immune,” Paul, a self-certified ophthalmologist, said. The Kentucky Republican then went after Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top...

@RandPaulOne way of determining fraud in mail-in ballots would be to examine a random sample of a few thousand to find the rate of fraud. If fraud rate is low, voters may be convinced of the election’s legitimacy. If the fraud rate is high, then every mail-in ballot should be examined.

Sen. Rand Paul questioned last Tuesday’s election results, comparing the more than 1 million stimulus checks that were sent to dead people to possible voter fraud. “Your government sent 1.1 million dead people stimulus checks. Wonder how many of these folks also voted absentee?” Paul tweeted Monday morning. The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration reported this summer that 1.1 million coronavirus aid checks were sent to people who had already died. The checks totaled nearly $1.4 billion. After the report, the watchdog recommended that Congress “provide Treasury with access to the Social Security Administration’s full set of death records,...

... “KY Dem Ed Pritchard was convicted of voter fraud in 1949 for fraudulently casting 254 votes,” Paul wrote. “His biographer said: ‘the untidy truth was that widespread vote fraud was America’s dirty little secret . . .’ Elections with millions of mail ballots makes fraud more likely not less.” ... Twitter is censoring this tweet, which is 100 percent a statement of fact pic.twitter.com/yul8TW3MJO — Matt Walsh (@MattWalshBlog) November 6, 2020 ... Despite Twitter’s contention that the information was misleading or disputed, Paul quoted the information straight from the biography of Edward Prichard. Now, it appears that Twitter removed...

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Friday called for “every legal vote” to be counted and said, “all sides must get to observe the process.” “Here’s how this must work in our great country. Every legal vote should be counted. Any illegally-submitted ballots must not. All sides must get to observe the process. And the courts are here to apply the laws & resolve disputes. That's how Americans' votes decide the result,” McConnell tweeted. The remarks could be read as McConnell throwing some support to President Trump, though McConnell stopped far short of making claims about fraud that Trump has...

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Republicans expanded their overwhelming majorities in Kentucky's General Assembly in Tuesday's election, dominating rural races and fending off Democratic efforts to gain traction in more suburban districts. Most GOP candidates benefited from the top of their statewide ticket, with President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell notching lopsided wins. Republicans solidified their control of rural districts as Democrats saw their ranks continue to dwindle. With some races still too close to call, House Speaker David Osborne said the GOP ultimately could pick up 13 seats — six held by Democratic incumbents and seven open...

Louisville, Kentucky, police Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly has filed a lawsuit against Breonna Taylor's boyfriend, alleging assault, battery and emotional distress after the March 13 shooting at Taylor's apartment. Police have said that Kenneth Walker fired the shot that struck Mattingly in the thigh that night, NBC News reported. The lawsuit alleges that Walker's conduct was "outrageous, intolerable and offends all accepted standards of decency and morality." Although Taylor's address was listed on the warrant, the target of the investigation -- an ex-boyfriend -- lived at a different location, according to NBC News. Police opened fire in response to a shot...

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) criticized the media in a Tuesday tweet for what he said was it not reporting a drop in the COVID-19 mortality rate in Spain, which is experiencing a surge in new coronavirus cases. “New COVID infections up 33% in Spain but mortality down 82%,” Paul tweeted while sharing a link to Spain's coronavirus totals. “The Leftwing media reports the new cases but refuses to let anyone hear the good news — mortality rates are plummeting!” According to Worldometers, Spain recorded 17,396 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, along with 93 deaths. The country recently declared a state...

DeShawn Bojgere, 30, who no longer works for the USPS, was charged with delay or destruction of mail in connection with the ballot dump earlier this month in Louisville, US Attorney Russell Coleman’s office said. More than 100 general election absentee ballots being sent out to voters were discarded in a construction dumpster, prosecutors said.
