My gut is telling me this guy is dirty as hell. His entire department needs to be investigated, not just for the failures but for their lack of training. And he's out there every day making a celebrity of himself. AND he threw that deputy under the bus today. Training records, I think, will be important, including his own or lack thereof possibly. Having said all of that, I feel bad for the rank and file deputies, so this is not directed at them.
