"Countdown" host Keith Olbermann made a huge mistake last Thursday night: he chose to make radio host Mark Levin "The Worst Person in the World" for nominating Rush Limbaugh as a potential Nobel Peace Prize recipient. In response, Levin spent a large part of his show on Friday ripping this abomination apart. Audio links are available here and here courtesy of our friend at Olbermann Watch (h/t Dan at Riehl World View). Before clicking on theses links, please be advised that Levin went after Olbermann with guns blazing, and discussed at length allegations of an unsatisfactory tryst in ahotel room...

The DUmmies are not shy about attacking the rich EXCEPT when one of their own strives to become wealthy beyond what he deserves. Such is the case with Keith Olbermann who is now demanding a fourfold salary increase. As a strong liberal, Keith does not realize that there is a correlation between ratings and revenue. And since the ratings for MSNBC are pathetically low, then revenue must also be in the dumps. However, despite that economic reality, Olbermann is demanding that his salary be increased from a million bucks per year to FOUR million. The problem is that his...

The Democrats may have wrested back control of power in Congress, but that hasn't quieted the ire of Keith Olbermann. Last week, he delivered one of his trademark blistering critiques of the country's leadership -- this time charging that President Bush failed to learn the lessons of Vietnam by perpetuating the "monumental lie that is our presence in Iraq." And don't think the victors of the midterm election are going to escape his sharp tongue. "If the Democrats don't undo a lot of the things that have been done, like the Military Commissions Act and many of the other infringements...

COULTER NAILS IT AGAIN: OLBERMANN IS A IDIOT November 9, 2006 Little wonder that liberals hate Ann Coulter...she plays chess with them and has them checkmated before they make their first move. In November of 2004, Coulter reminded MSNBC’s Keith “I’m Allergic to the Pillows” Olbermann of his stupidity by observing that, “...I guess we can add ‘math’ to Keith's growing ‘I Don't Do’ file, along with ‘Reading the Congressional Almanac,’ ‘Basic Show Prep,’ ‘Getting My Attitude in Line With My IQ’ ....” An update to this short-list of Olbermannn’s “I Don’t Do” file should also include “I’ve Never Read the...

On Tuesday's Countdown show, MSNBC host Keith Olbermann fretted about an Oval Office meeting of President Bush and several conservative talk radio hosts -- verbally tagged by Olbermann as "right-wing radio yackers" and labelled on-screen as the "Legion of Doom" -- as the Countdown host contended that Bush was devoting "90 minutes worth of your taxpayer dollars" to the meeting. And in an amusing faux pas, Olbermann's staff, for the second time in less than a year, accidentally displayed a photograph of former liberal Democratic Senator Max Cleland instead of conservative talk radio host Neal Boortz. During the show's opening...

October 9, 2006 -- A BROWN-haired beauty who claims she had an unsatisfying one-night stand with Keith Olbermann is getting her sweet revenge - she's launched a blog to warn other women about the acerbic MSNBC commentator's boorish bedroom habits.

Who thinks it’s a good idea to videotape his charitable acts and air them on his television show?A smug, shameless douche with a pathological need for approval, that’s who.You won’t believe what I’m about to tell you, but the on-camera donation isn’t the most repulsive part of this clip. That honor’s reserved for what Olby has to say about Chris Wallace’s interview with Clinton — an interview that hasn’t aired yet and which Olby almost certainly hasn’t seen.Johnny Dollar, as always, has a superb recap of the show along with a partial transcription. As you read it, keep in mind...

Keith Olbermann, desperate as usual to boost his tiny ratings, turned his 9/11 report into one long attack on President Bush. Keith made this ATTACK, in typical poor taste on the site of the former World Trade Center Towers. Then he added to the tastelessness by making a comparison to The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street episode of the Twilight Zone. Olbermann used that Twilight Zone episode to suggest that our real enemy is our own prejudices despite the fact that the tragedy of 9/11 was caused by very real Islamic terrorists. It was as out of place...

by Mark Finkelstein September 11, 2006 - 20:23 Have a look at this poll that Keith Olbermann flashed during this evening's Countdown. Try to put aside your politics for a moment and try in all objectivity to describe the most striking aspect of the poll results. I'd say it's the fact that by a margin of almost 2:1, Americans feel more safe rather than less safe since 9/11. Pretty good accomplishment by the Bush administration, you might say. So how did Keith Olbermann characterize the results? "55% combined think we are either as safe or less safe" since 9/11. Olbermann...

Just when I thought "The Countdown with Keith Olbermann" (MSNBC - cable) couldn't get any worse as far as quality, integrity and journalistic objectivity it did. Olbermann, who thinks he's in a personal feud with cable juggernaut Bill O'Reilly and "The Factor" (FOX News - cable), must be in a delusional state. Unbelievably, MSNBC tried to sell the idea as a way to energize Olbermann's meager television ratings. But O'Reilly treated the whole matter like Olbermann didn't exist and, as far as ratings go, he doesn't. When I think of MSNBC's prefabricated O'Reilly-Olbermann feud, I picture the FOX News broadcaster...

Keith Olbermann Countdown with Keith Olbermann MSNBC July 28, 2006 Dear Mr. Olbermann, We are deeply dismayed by your ongoing use of the Nazi "Sieg Heil" salute, both on your program and in public appearances -- including the recent Television Critics Association press tour -- while holding up a mask of Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly. While we understand that your aim is to entertain your audience by taking pot shots at Mr. O'Reilly, your repeated use of the Nazi salute has resulted in many complaints from our constituents, including Holocaust survivors and their families who find the use of...

A quick question for Keith Olbermann: is it working? To get the attention of Bill O'Reilly, FOX News and anyone else who will listen, you've tried every stunt known to mankind. Yet despite all of those often- desperate ploys, the only thing you're beating is poker on CNBC. Is it time for a new target? Perhaps, but with all of the mainstream media attention your latest stunt is generating, we doubt you'll soon change. If only this course of action could lead to big ratings, however! What Olby does prove is that serving as a liberal media darling certainly doesn't...

MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann used a Saturday morning breakfast session at the Television Critics Association press tour to fire yet another shot at Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly, holding up an O’Reilly mask while raising his right arm in a Nazi salute to mock his on-air rival. “It’s just so much fun,” said the host of Countdown with Keith Olbermann when questioned about why he pursues his on-air rivalry with O’Reilly. Olbermann also told the story of seeing O’Reilly at a celebrity fundraiser in New York, but said O’Reilly “never got within 20 feet of me. Every time I looked at...

Two modest proposals The Media Research Center notes the response of mainstream media news organizations to the unclassified portion of the report revealing that 500 munition shells of mustard and sarin gas had been found in Iraq. John discussed the report in "About those WMDs" and "Rumsfeld confirms WMD finds." According to the MRC, among the three broadcast network evening news shows, only the NBC Nightly News discussed the report. The MRC also notes the hysterical reaction of MSNBC's Keith Olbermann: MSNBC's Keith Olbermann ridiculed the finding of "WMD: weapons of minor discomfort," snidely suggesting "you might get a burn...

It's always good news to find stimulating programming in these days of reality shows and counter-cultural situation comedies. "The Situation with Tucker Carlson" (MSNBC--10 P.M. Central) is smart television and worthwhile viewing for those who care about the crazy world of inside politics. Carlson, who made his television bones on CNN, is intelligent and witty on his new MSNBC show. One only wonders why Carlson was so lame when he worked for CNN. Carlson left the network last year after hosting the now defunct, but ground-breaking "Crossfire." The program regularly pitted conservative pundits who argued against their liberal counter-parts. Unfortunately,...

Keith Olbermann's angry E-mail responses to critical viewers included broadsides against Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter. Olbermann apologized for his messages. Keith Olbermann's vacation isn't going so well. He was forced to apologize yesterday after more of his E-mails found their way to my inbox and exposed the host of MSNBC's "Countdown With Keith Olbermann" as insulting and frequently obscene in an acrimonious exchange with two viewers who taunted him. Olbermann's antagonists, who asked not to be named, repeatedly claimed in their June 8 E-mails that dead Al Qaeda terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was Olbermann's "hero," prompting the television star...

FREUDENSCHADE, BABY! There was a sense of inevitability about it from the start. The DUmmies are greated with joyous news and they break out their victory champagne to celebrated the event BEFORE it happened. Then, as surely as Lucy pulling away the football from Charlie Brown, the event BACKFIRES on them. Such has been the case over and over and over again. Jeb Bush being defeated in 2002? Re-elected by a landslide. John Kerry winning the election in 2004 due to his landslide in the exit polls? Defeated at the real polls. And, most recently, Karl Rove being indicted...
