On Tuesday's Countdown show, MSNBC host Keith Olbermann fretted about an Oval Office meeting of President Bush and several conservative talk radio hosts -- verbally tagged by Olbermann as "right-wing radio yackers" and labelled on-screen as the "Legion of Doom" -- as the Countdown host contended that Bush was devoting "90 minutes worth of your taxpayer dollars" to the meeting. And in an amusing faux pas, Olbermann's staff, for the second time in less than a year, accidentally displayed a photograph of former liberal Democratic Senator Max Cleland instead of conservative talk radio host Neal Boortz. During the show's opening...

Did anyone catch Keith O's rant just now on PMSNBC? He was asking the citizens to forgive the President for all his malicous and cynical use of the 9//11 tragedy. He pretty much said the President and his men were behind the 'bald faced lies' of the ABC documdrama amd that the president lied us into the war with Iraq. Pretty much the usual DNC talking points, but to see Olberman recite them with such passion and quote from Rod Serling;s 'The Twilight Zone' was pretty amusing. No wonder nobody watches the fool, he comes off like a pretty boy...

Terrorists use the press and public relations as weapons, said a study released Wednesday by Arizona State University. . . . jihadist operations use consistent patterns of outreach that establish them socially and religiously, generate public sympathy and intimidate opponents. Threats, in fact, are part of terrorist "talking points." "Jihadis pursue these strategies using sophisticated, modern methods of communications and public relations," Mr. Corman said. "There's evidence in the documents that jihadis segment audiences and adapt their message to the audience." This week, audio and video messages from Osama bin Laden and Abu Musab Zarqawi were posted on the Internet...
  • Limbaugh runs away from Limbaugh (Left Wing Smear Machine sets its sights on Rush)

NEW YORK - There is nothing wrong with an unpopular opinion. Nor is there anything wrong with a subversive one, nor a crazy one. This country was founded on opinions that were deemed by the powers-that-were to be unpopular, subversive, and crazy. Dissent - even when that dissent strays from logic or humanity - is our life’s blood. But if you have one of those opinions, and you express it in public, honesty and self-respect require you to own up to it. Unless you’re Rush Limbaugh.
  • MSNBC's Olbermann & Crawford Suggest Bush Team "Set Up" Newsweek (And The Story of The Yellow Kid)

CUT Olbermann teased the May 16 Countdown, as watched by the MRC's Brad Wilmouth: "Which of these stories will you be talking about tomorrow? After riots, after taking hits from the White House, Newsweek apologizes, says it's not sure its story about interrogators flushing copies of the Koran down the toilet was entirely correct. But what about the half dozen previous media stories claiming that? And why does a book in a toilet start riots, but a war doesn't?" Olbermann set up his #5 story: "Good evening. What would foment more violence in this country and other western nations? Some...

On Fox News' "Special Report," Brit Hume raised the nut conspiracy theories circulating on the Web about Republicans stealing the presidential election. The liberals on the panel responded by quickly pointing out that no national Democrats -- not even Terry McAuliffe! -- had suggested that there had been any systematic vote theft. Hume admitted the rumors of vote fraud were limited to nutcases on the Web. Like most Americans, apparently no one at Fox is watching MSNBC!
  • Olberman/Fineman roast Bush

In Keith Olberman's segment at 8pm he led with how the President was handling the war emotionally. He brought Howard Fineman on and they proceded to attack the President in a subtle, yet vicious way. It was relayed that he prayed many times a day, and was not comfortable in front of press confrences. Fineman opined that he had gotten better at reading speeches hi people had written, but, didn't like it much. I hated Olberman for hi Clinton Butt-boy hijinks, and Fineman gets his shots in where he can. You know, the war looks like it will be over...
