The credibility of the IPCC has reached a new all time low. Another leading warmist scientist, this time the UK’s Chief Scientist Prof John Beddington is deserting ship. The impact of global warming has been exaggerated by some scientists and there is an urgent need for more honest disclosure of the uncertainty of predictions about the rate of climate change, according to the Government’s chief scientific adviser. Beddington states in the Times Online: “I don’t think it’s healthy to dismiss proper skepticism. Science grows and improves in the light of criticism. There is a fundamental uncertainty about climate change prediction...

January 17, 2010 World Misled Over Himalayan Glacier Meltdown A WARNING that climate change will melt most of the Himalayan glaciers by 2035 is likely to be retracted after a series of scientific blunders by the United Nations body that issued it. Two years ago the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued a benchmark report that was claimed to incorporate the latest and most detailed research into the impact of global warming. A central claim was the world's glaciers were melting so fast that those in the Himalayas could vanish by 2035. In the past few days the scientists...

Science has come full-circle, taking a page from the medieval Church by using fear and persecution to silence skeptics. The oppressed have become the oppressors. Given that most professional scientific bodies and peer-reviewed journals have been active accomplices in this scandal, one wonders how many other so called scientific consensuses have been similarly engineered and waiting for their own ClimateGates before truth is known. —Joanne Nova The above quote is important because it addresses the politicization of science and research. Dean Esmay, the owner of Dean’s World where I blog occasionally as part of a group, has often commented that...

It could not be more ironic that all the efforts of the world's sophisticates to build Obama up have been brought to naught by Mother Nature, who exposed him for the chump he is. For only a chump could advocate economic suicide to stop global warming while the earth is about to enter a historic arctic snap. Obama tried this in Copenhagen, where he feverishly pressured the assembled dignitaries to adopt measures that would drive their economies into the ground. Not surprisingly, they said, "thanks, but no thanks." They apparently did not think it was such a good idea to...

The sect – which shuns clothes and sex – says more than 250,000 followers will join the global crusade in London, Paris, Munich, New York, Beijing and Tokyo, according to the Austrian Times. “We have decided to do our bit to save the planet from global warming,” said leader Shri Soham Baba. ” According to the New York Daily News, the campaign will start during Kumbh Mela: “When thousands of naked Hindus speak, will the world listen?

Butternut Squash Soup is calling, but Joel Hunter stands glued to CNN in his living room in rainy Orlando. Lunch can wait another minute, because details about President Barack Obama's meeting with a foreign leader might be coming. When the news anchor switches topics, Hunter, satisfied, quickly joins his wife, Becky, at their glass dinner table. One of Hunter's megachurch staffers gleefully picks on his boss, recalling when Hunter sat next to boxing legend Muhammad Ali at Obama's inauguration: "You should've given him a little nudge on the shoulder, just to say you've been in a fight with Ali." "Oh...

What would Jesus do? Well, Ed Schultz thinks he knows - that is on health care reform at least. Schultz, on his Sept. 2 MSNBC program, "The ED Show" told viewers he believed Jesus would vote for a government public option. That, he said, was to the dismay of some on religious right, or what he used the pejorative "Bible thumpers" to describe. "Now, I have been referring to the health care reform deal as the real moral issue of our time," Schultz said. "I believe Jesus would vote yes for a public option, but some Bible thumpers don't see...

AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name...

In a stunning display of audacity, President Obama took the opportunity of a conference call with ministers to strongly imply that his opponents were misrepresenting his healthcare plan and "bearing false witness" before reminding them that "I am my brother's keeper." OK Mr. President... other than the fact that the majority of misrepresentation and lies seem to be coming from your White House, as far as I know the Bible never says that "I am my brother's keeper." Genesis 4:9 asks "Am I my brother's keeper?"... but the question is unanswered. Even if the answer is YES... how does that...

Al Gore was able to get most people to forget the money he took from the tobacco industry and Buddhist monks by winning both the Nobel Prize and an Oscar for his work on educating the world about the dangers of global warming and other problems that affect the environment. Gore's problem is that in this economic climate he cannot get himself arrested even for chaining himself to the entrance of a coal-fired electrical plant. Realistically, trying to improve the environment during a recession is a losing game, even if the North Pole ends up having a climate like Cuba...

Barack Obama is under fire after replacing his estranged pastor Jeremiah Wright with a new circle of religious confidantes whose views are dramatically at odds with some of his political goals. The president is now taking spiritual guidance from no less than five different pastors, whom he phones for advice at moments of stress or when making big decisions. But a year after the incendiary rantings of Rev Wright threatened to derail Mr Obama's presidential campaign, revelation of the "dial-a-prayer" sessions has prompted critics to declare that he has a new "pastor problem". Four of the president's inner circle of...

As Joel Hunter explains it, his telephone prayer session with Barack Obama on Tuesday, roughly 10 hours before Obama was declared winner of the presidential election, was not intended to be as intimate as it ended up. Obama, says Hunter, "just wanted to pray with some folks," and his religious liaison arranged a conference call with Hunter, Dallas Pentecostal megapastor T.D. Jakes, Houston Methodist minister (and George Bush favorite) Kirbyjon Caldwell and Otis Moss II, the retired pastor of Olivet Institutional Baptist Church in Cleveland. But Obama was delayed, Jakes had to appear on live TV, and Caldwell had to...

Pastor Who Opposes Abortion to Deliver DNC's Closing Prayer By Krissah Williams Sen. Barack Obama's team will continue its aggressive outreach to evangelical voters at the Democratic National Convention next week. Making a prime-time appearance Thursday night will be Joel C. Hunter, a Florida megachurch pastor who will deliver the convention's closing prayer following Obama's speech accepting the Democratic presidential nomination. Hunter is a registered Republican, opposes abortion and, at one point, had been chosen to lead the Christian Coalition. He has not endorsed Obama and says he agreed to give the benediction because has was asked to do so....

An evangelical pastor from Florida who calls himself a "conservative Republican" will be delivering the opening and closing prayer at the Democratic National Convention next Thursday in Denver. The Democratic National Convention (DNC) will kick off Sunday with what organizers call an "interfaith gathering" of Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, and Jewish leaders and a representative of Denver's Buddhist community. A Convention spokeswoman says the event will show that Democrats are "faith-friendly" and more "religiously diverse" than Republicans. According to news reports, "religious leaders" will open and close each day's session. On Thursday, Orlando mega-church pastor Joel Hunter will be opening and...

The president-elect of the Christian Coalition of America has declined the job, saying the organization wouldn't let him expand its agenda beyond opposing abortion and gay marriage. The Rev. Joel Hunter, who was scheduled to take over the socially conservative group in January from Roberta Combs, said he had hoped to focus on issues such as poverty and the environment. "These are issues that Jesus would want us to care about," said Hunter, a senior pastor at Northland Church in Longwood, Fla. Hunter announced his decision not to take the job during an organization board meeting Nov. 21. A statement...
