I wonder if the rules on this forum are applied equally? Several weeks ago I was denied posting privileges because I jokingly advocated a "plan b" in fighting the so far failed war on illegal immigration. My "plan b" was to have border guards retreat to within 200 yards of the border and while fitted with night vision goggles simply drop any illegals attempting to gain access to America. Now frankly I am not concerned with the fact I was denied posting privileges for a day(reason given was "advocating violence")but I wonder if the folks who post pictures of exploding...

Michael Gunther was sentenced today in Sarpy County, Nebraska to life without parole for the shooting death of Mike Zawodny last May. During the trial, he also openly admitted killing my sister Sally Kennedy, known here as 'HeartofGold'. I haven't gotten the details yet, but I'm told he also received an additional sentence on a gun charge. This opens the way for Gunther's transfer to Iowa to stand trial for Sally's murder, which will probably take place sometime in July.

First, I want to thank all the FReepers who were able to attend and to all who contributed to the March for Justice II. It wouldn't have happened without you. I also want to thank our cosponsor, the Coalition for a Fair Judiciary. Our speakers were excellent and I thank them for standing with us. Most of all, thanks to Jim Robinson for all he does. The March for Justice II was a success, even though we didn't accomplish our goal for attendance. We thought 100 to 200 people would attend, in fact there were between 40 and 50--almost all of...

MOBILE, Ala. - A medical team at the University of South Alabama's Children's & Women's Hospital have closely monitored the progress of a newborn who weighed only 10 ounces at birth on Feb. 15. His parents, Phillip and Monica Whitlock, said tiny Malachi Andreas Whitlock is so far holding his own. "I feel he's got 100 percent chance of survival," his father said. They said they chose the name Malachi because it's one of the smallest books of the Bible, and Malachi means "messenger of God." "He's so small, and he's sent a message to us of what love is,"...

Onyx's husband fell thru a glass door and severed an artery in his arm this morning. He almost bled to death while waiting for 911 to come, but they made it. They've been at the hospital since noon, with him in and out of surgery. They are back in surgery now, with 3 surgeons trying to repair a lot of torn and severed veins and archeries. He's lost a lot of blood, they've given him 6 pints so far. It's very complicated, but those are the basics.

The Birth of the "FReepCast"? (BitTorrent Broadcasting) Attention FReepers: If you aren't aware of BitTorrent, it is a software program that allows MASSIVE files to be distributed over the internet at tens to hundreds of times faster than what would be normally seen. Currently it is being used to steal software and media, but the real promise is MEDIA DISTRIBUTION. A graduate student at Stanford used it to distribute the liberal flick "Outfoxed" to thousands of people over the internet with ease. The Graduate student distributed the equivelant of 750 GB of bandwidth for 5 GB. That's an astounding 15,000%...

A good friend called me a few hours ago terribly upset. Her two sons, both United States Marines, were in Washington DC last night (Saturday) with their dates. They went to the Hawk and Dove, which is a Capitol Hill watering hole.

I've been bugged for months at the limit of 20 when I look up who has pinged me or responded to my posts. It used to be 250 was the limit but now it's 20 which is absurd. 100 should be the minimum. The election is over with it's heavy traffic. Why is the limit 20? Is the server overburdened if this is raised. Thanks

Six Navy SEALs filed a lawsuit against the Associated Press and one of its reporters yesterday, saying the news organization revealed their identities, compromised their security and invaded their privacy by publishing personal photographs in a Dec. 4 story. The complaint says AP reporter Seth Hettena used about 40 images from the personal photo-storage Web site of a Navy SEAL wife. [snip] The images were picked up by the Arab press, including Al Jazeera, and have made their way onto a billboard outside U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where detainees from the war on terror are being kept. The...

I posted the following statement to our front page in response to the criticism I'm receiving lately as to not being fair and balanced and perceived mistreatment of trolls and assorted malcontents. Got news for all, I'm NOT fair and balanced. I'm biased toward God, country, family, liberty and freedom and against liberalism, socialism, anarchism, wackoism, global balonyism and any other form of tyranny. Hope this helps. Statement by the founder of Free Republic: In our continuing fight for freedom, for America and our constitution and against totalitarianism, socialism, tyranny, terrorism, etc., Free Republic stands firmly on the side of...

Will Bush solve the illegal immigration problem? Probably not. But neither will Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Clark or Hillary. Chances are, they'd make it worse. Probably far worse.
I happen to believe that Bill and Hillary Clinton were the worst presidents in our nation's history. Corruption, government abuse, treason and daily scandal were the norm under their rule. Bill is a useful idiot who can't keep his mouth shut or his zipper up and Hillary is an America hating godless communist power monger. These are my personal opinions.
