At the April meeting of the Rockingham County (NC) Board of Education, the board voted 8-4 to mandate Standard Mode Of Dress (school uniforms) at Reidsville Middle and Reidsville High schools starting in the 2007-2008 school year. However, the vote was made on the basis of a survey that was fraudulently conducted. The board voted to impose the uniforms anyway. There have been 3 meetings of the board in which parents and students have made it clear that they DO NOT WANT the uniforms. The board is refusing to acknowledge this opposition.
