For a political party accusing the president of the United States of treason, the Democrats are being very reluctant to have authorities prove it. The email server that the Democratic National Committee say was hacked by the Russians is so far being kept out of reach of federal investigators looking into the issue. The only people who have examined the server are employees of the private cyber-security company the DNC hired to find out who hacked them.

Rod Blagojevich's sentencing hearing has ended for the day, with the defense emphasizing the damage a long prison sentence would have on Blagojevich’s family. Lawyer Aaron Goldstein also read a letter read to the court from Blagojevich’s wife, Patti. “Your honor, I ask you humbly with the life of my husband and the childhood of my daughters in your hands, be merciful,” she wrote to U.S. District Judge James Zagel. Her husband’s worst fear was that he would not be able to see his daughters grow up, Goldstein said, prompting both Rod and Patti Blagojevich to tear up as they...

If you’re depressed, dance your way out of the dumps. That’s what is working in a Philippine prison. Byron Garcia, Security Consultant for the Cebu provincial government, tapped into a unique anger-management strategy and he’s dealing with some severely bummed out, violent thugs. He has almost all 1600 inmates at the Cebu provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center dancing to old hits like “YMCA” and “In the Navy” by the Village People. Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” also blasts from prison yard speakers while detainees hoof it in unison. “Inmates say to me, ‘You have put my mind off revenge, foolishness, or thinking...

A judge said Monday, he will allow four of 10 incidents of evidence in Spector's murder trial that prosecutors say illustrate the music producer's history of pulling guns on women. Spector is on trial for the Feb. 23, 2003, fatal shooting of B-movie actress Lana Clarkson.

SEATTLE (AP) -- The state Supreme Court on Thursday announced a two-year suspension for a lawyer caught having jailhouse sex with a triple-murder defendant she was representing. Theresa Olson's suspension begins Friday; she must undergo a psychological evaluation before she can be reinstated. Earlier, Olson and the state Bar Association had agreed to a one-year suspension, but the high court rejected the bar's recommendation. In 2002, guards outside a King County Jail conference room saw Olson with her dress pulled up and her client, Sebastian Burns, standing behind her with his pants down. At the time of the encounter, Olson...
