Nearly a month after a student was barred from attending a religious studies class, Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) has reversed course, suspending normal policies and procedures. Lake Ingle, a student enrolled in "RLST 481 - Special Topic - Self, Sin, and Salvation," a course taught by IUP Professor Alison Downie that he needs in order to graduate, objected to his instructor's claims regarding the "reality of white male privilege," on February 28. Ingle also rebutted claims made in a video shown in class that featured a transgender woman, stating that there are only two genders and arguing that the...

I'm all pumped and trying to collect my thoughts to get this down before I forget it all! Tonight, Michael Moore spoke at our local University - Indiana Univ. of Pa. The word was spread that the College Republicans were going to stage a protest and the turnout was beyond what they expected! At 4:00 p.m., members of the community showed up at a local pub (Boomerangs). A free draft was offered in exchange for a Michael Moore tickets. Lots of students, and members of all ages gathered both inside and out. Everybody carried signs and sported "Bush/Cheney" stickers and...

I've already sent this off to the Pa. Freepers. Michael Moore is scheduled to speak at Memorial Field House on Indiana University of PENNSYLVANIA (IUP) campus on Tues., Oct 26, at 8:00 p.m. Sure would be great if some Freepers came to help welcome old Mikey. I'm going to find out if the College Republicans will be there. I just e-mailed their past-president who is wanting to get a group out there!
