March 30, 2003 Terrorist Attack in the Center of Netanya At approximately 12:50pm this afternoon (March 30, 2003), a suicide bomber blew himself up in the crowded city center of Netanya. 29 people were reported wounded, amongst them two in serious condition. 10 IDF soldiers were wounded, one seriously, two moderately, and the rest lightly. Rescue services evacuated the wounded to nearby hospitals, as security forces searched the area for additional explosives. The terrorist group Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.
