A Prince George's County man has been arrested for allegedly throwing sulfuric acid on his female roommate’s face and upper body. Bekre Abdela, 28, was arrested and charged Monday with attempted murder, assault and additional charges. A senior Muslim cleric in Russia has suggested that universal female genital mutilation (FGM) would be a positive development, after a rights group released a report denouncing the practice earlier this week.
