Sarah Palin obviously isn’t even a declared candidate, but according to a new national poll she’s not only still well within the fray, but gaining speed:
  • What’s so electable about Rick Perry?

Electability. It's an elusive quality. It's like chemistry, between movie stars. It's like tinnitus, for wine. Or is that tannins? You know what I mean — the quality of wine that keeps wine experts' voices ringing in your ears when you are stuck next to them at dinners. It's like buzz. It's like the It factor. It's what Bertie Wooster would call a certain indefinable Thingness. Somehow, we have this idea that a person can be “electable.” Of course, you can’t be electable in a vacuum. If I am electable in the middle of a forest and no one is...

After a nearly three-month hiatus, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is planning to crash the presidential party once again with a heartland-themed re-launch of her "One Nation" bus tour this week in Iowa, according to a Palin fundraising email obtained by CNN. Palin is bringing her Constitution-themed bus to the Iowa State Fair, just 30 miles south of where the Republican presidential field will take the stage on Thursday for a presidential debate in Ames. It's not yet clear which day the tour will begin, but her surprise arrival in Iowa will happen before the closely watched Ames straw poll....

Sarah Palin's latest "in your face" to the Obama administration in defense of the Tea Party is guaranteed to infuriate the left and terrify the timid on our side. Sarah said, "If we were real domestic terrorists, shoot, Obama would want to pal around with us, wouldn't he?" Wow! I looooove this woman! Compare Palin's cojones to those of Republican presidential candidate, Jon Huntsman. Huntsman encouraged Republicans to surrender to Obama during the debt ceiling battle. Get this, folks: as a contender for the White House, Huntsman said he will not attack Obama. How absurd is that? Huntsman's going into...

  • Without running, Palin stays near top of GOP field

There's a near consensus among Washington insiders that Sarah Palin will not run for president but a new poll suggests the former Alaska governor would be an instant force in the race if she did choose to run In the Washington Post and ABC News survey, Palin comes in a solid second in the Republican field, behind frontrunner Mitt Romney but ahead of Michele Bachmann. Palin is also well ahead of another possible candidate, Texas Governor Rick Perry The numbers are: Romney 26%; Palin 18%; Bachmann 12%; Ron Paul 9%; Perry 8%; Herman Cain 6%; Newt Gingrich 5%; Jon Huntsman...
  • Dick Morris Pro-Bachmann Bias Shows Twice/Pollsters: “If We Don’t Poll her, She Doesn’t Exist”

Update: As I stated earlier today (below), the Zogby poll I saw yesterday that did not include Palin popped up today and showed, SHOCK, that Bachmann “surges” into the lead. As I also pointed, this poll is 100% unscientific as anyone can sign up to participate in the poll and is not a “random” sample. It’s about as valid as a Bill O’Reilly internet poll. Previous leaders have included Herman Cain and Chris Christie. Michele Bachmann had 24% (yeeeaaah) ahead of Romney and Cain’s 15%. In what is starting to look like a trend, pollsters are now removing Sarah Palin...
  • Tim Rutten on Sarah Palin: Cunning, off the charts

In our pages, the L.A. Times' Tim Rutten reviews Sarah Palin's "America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag," giving her high marks for cunning, if not sincerity. Two interesting things stand out in this latest manifesto (and, make no mistake, that's what it is): One is that Palin clearly has widened her circle of advisors, at least when it comes to her uncredited ghost writers, who have stitched a veritable laundry list of current conservative preoccupations into "America by Heart," along with extended quotations from an array of figures, including Margaret Thatcher, James Q. Wilson, poet Karl Shapiro...
  • Sarah And Bristol Palin Bond Over Guts And Guns In Reality TV Show (VIDEO)

    11/19/2010 4:44:40 PM PST · by dselig · 13 replies
Sarah Palin has ditched manicures and makeup in favor of guts and guns to bond with her daughter, Bristol, in the latest episode of her reality show, and RadarOnline has a sneak peak at the upcoming adventure. In scenes from Sarah Palin's Alaska - which will air on Sunday - the duo cover-up their curves as they go deep sea halibut fishing and skeet shooting. With their rubber gloves and wet weather gear, the Palins head to the high seas where they are filmed hauling in the giant fish and even 'bopping' them until they are dead. "We don't need...
