Former President Donald Trump surged ahead by five points in Arizona, maintained a four point lead in Georgia, and held steady in North Carolina, according to New York Times/Siena College presidential election polling on Monday. When asked who won the debate, Harris came out ahead, 55.3 percent to Trump’s 42.5 percent, while 2.2 percent thought it was a draw. Respondents were then asked, “Considering tonight’s debate performances, if you had to vote...

For the first time in weeks, former President Donald Trump pulled ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris in one of the most-watched national polls — raising the prospect that her momentum has fizzled out just ahead of their debate. Trump edged out Harris 48% to 47% among likely voters nationally, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll. Other polls have similarly begun to show the 45th president regaining ground against his rival now that the Democratic National Convention has wrapped up.
