Forecasters are now estimating the film will lose $150-200 million. That’s a lot of mouse food. But the studio might not be the only one whose bank balance suffers. Many industry insiders are now questioning whether its star Johnny Depp – front and center in “The Lone Ranger” marketing campaign – will be worth his $20 million plus per-movie salary going forward.
