Washington -- I do not go to the movies. Oh, I go to reruns of "The Godfather," "The Godfather: Part II" and "The Godfather: Part III." (There was a "Godfather: Part III," was there not?) I got a little tired of all those Italians eating pasta and killing each other. Seriously, I was raised in the suburbs of Chicago, and I grew up with the children of mafiosi. To this day, I am amazed at how true to life the Godfather movies were. At least their domestic scenes were realistic. There have been other movies that I have watched --...

A British actress who starred in Doctor Strange with Benedict Cumberbatch and her husband are accussed of having sex with a 13-year-old girl after they groomed her. The girl, now an adult, says that Zara Phythian and Victor Marke filmed the abuse in a bid to recreate pornographic scenes. The abuse is claimed to have happened between 2005 and 2008 when the couple were martial arts instructors. Jurors heard a police interview from the woman, who was aged between 13 and 15 at the time of the alleged abuse, describing the details of the sexual offences before the pair married....

Filming on Paramount+ drama Star Trek: Picard has been shut down since Monday following a sizable COVID-19 outbreak. Sources say more than 50 members of the large production tested positive on Monday, which was the first day of work after the Christmas break. The Patrick Stewart-led series has one of television’s biggest crews, numbering more than 450 staffers. The infections impacted multiple zones, including cast in zone A. Production on the series was immediately shut down Monday and has remained dark since. Sources say filming is expected to resume early next week, if not sooner, though details remain in limbo....

A screenwriter for the upcoming The Matrix Resurrections said the meta-movie sequel will reclaim the term “red pill,” saying the phrase was “kidnapped” by the political right. In an interview with The Onion’s The AV Club, co-screenwriters Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell explained how the new movie is attuned to the current cultural and political climate. “Things like the Red Pill/Blue Pill trope or meme and how it was kidnapped by the right-wing,” Hemon said. “The verb ‘to red pill’ and so on. So one thing we were mindful of is how to reclaim that trope. To renew the meaning...

All hope for Steven Spielberg’s racially divisive West Side Story remake died in week two, plummeting 68 percent with a humiliating take of just $3.4 million. After ten days in release, which includes two weekends, this historic box office bomb has grossed just $17.9 million. The hope had been that word of mouth would give Woke Side box office legs. Sorry, nope. No legs. Just two little stumps. Between production and marketing, this stinker probably cost close to $200 million. As a result, Disney’s going to lose a fortune.

Los Angeles Police Department says it is believed both women were given drugs and overdosed. On Nov. 13, masked men in a black Toyota Prius with no plates dropped off Giles’ body outside a hospital in Culver City. Two hours later, Cabrales was left unconscious and in critical condition at a different hospital in West Los Angeles. She died later that month after being declared brain dead. The women were taken to the hospitals more than 12 hours after anyone had heard from them. The pair had been at a warehouse party when they met a man and planned to...

Director Steven Spielberg’s woke West Side Story remake is a box office catastrophe expected to open in the $10 million range. How awful is that? Well, do you remember that previous woke catastrophe, In the Heights? It opened to $11.5 million. West Side Story is projected to bomb harder than In the Heights, lol. Even so, the In the Heights’ production budget was only $55 million.

Embattled Hollywood star Alec Baldwin has seemingly gone into hiding after his name emerged in court documents, presented in the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, that linked him to deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The actor’s name appeared child sex trafficker Epstein’s “little black book” of contacts when it was unsealed in court last week. Shortly after, Baldwin and his wife mysteriously deleted their verified social media accounts and have since dropped out of public view. The Baldwins went dark shortly after Epstein’s book was revealed as evidence during the trial of his alleged trafficking accomplice Maxwell. When Alec and his wife...

A production worker on Alec Baldwin’s tragedy-marred flick “Rust” was bitten by a poisonous spider while helping to close down the set after its fatal accidental shooting — and may now lose his arm. Lamp operator and pipe rigger Jason Miller was bitten by a venomous brown recluse while helping wrap up film production after Baldwin shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on Oct. 21, Sky News said. A JustGiving fundraising page said Miller has experienced necrosis of his arm and sepsis as a result of the bite. “He has been hospitalized and endured multiple surgeries each day as doctors...

Alec Baldwin got to play his dream role last week, and unfortunately for an innocent woman, it was a method-acting version of Ted Kennedy. Now, you note that I am mocking a guy whose probable gross negligence killed a lady and maimed a man, and this raises an important question – do we really want to live in a world where our reaction to a tragedy caused by an enemy is not sorrow and compassion but mockery? It doesn’t matter what we want. We do live in such a world, in large part due to the likes of Alec Baldwin....

There’s much more to this James Bond actor than meets the golden eye. Daniel Craig, currently starring in his fifth and final James Bond film “No Time to Die,” revealed that he likes to go to gay bars. "I’ve been going to gay bars for as long as I can remember,” the English heartthrob told Bruce Bozzi on the latest episode of the “Lunch with Bruce” SiriusXM podcast. “One of the reasons, because I don’t get into fights in gay bars that often… because the aggressive d--- swinging in hetero bars, I just got very sick of [it].” He furthered:...

Source: ET/TwitterThere aren’t many TV shows I watch anymore, at least not with any regularity. My DVR schedule is largely Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, and PJ Masks for the kids, with only occasional movies (Rear Window is on heavy rotation on one of the channels this month) and the few shows I still enjoy with any regularity. Judging by the Emmy nominations, and the fading ratings across all of television, a lot of other people can no longer stomach the garbage Hollywood is producing. Good. Personally, I couldn’t care less how someone lives their life. I’m not Pope, nor do...

We conservatives possess a terrible habit that must be shed if we wish to save this country: We constantly obsess over leftist behavior. We ask questions like: Why do liberals teach students to hate America? Why do they force children to wear masks? Why does Facebook and Twitter censor free speech? Who cares? Do liberals obsess over our psyche? No, they don’t. They go about their business taking over every facet of American culture and crushing dissent while we ask: Why are they doing that? Practically speaking, it’s utterly irrelevant why the left does what it does. The only thing...

Almost everything today on TV and at the movies is terrible, just like everything our institutions produce. Moreover, most of the people in Hollywood hate us, again just like institutions. Are you sensing a theme? They are awful and they despise us, so we need to respond in kind. Let’s destroy Hollywood. In fact, let’s destroy all the institutions. And then let’s build something that doesn’t suck on the ashes. In the case of Hollywood, we need to begin from the basic and indisputable fact that there has never been more content, and simultaneously, the quality of the content has...
