Alec Baldwin discharged a prop firearm on the set of a Western he was making in New Mexico on Thursday, killing the film’s director of photography and wounding the movie’s director, the authorities said.

Can someone tell me why he was firing towards the cinematographer and the director at the same time and how one shot can kill one and injure another? How does that work?
He'll eventually figure out how this is Trump's fault and not his.
Will this save us from him? Will they recast or shelve the film? Maybe he’ll get arrested.
He must’ve lined them up and shot one with the bullet traveling to the 2nd one causing one death, one injury. Saving bullets like in Nazi Germany. Now to figure out why these 2 guys would allow such a thing. I guess when Alec says jump, the crew says how high!

As much as I don’t like Baldwin, I’m not convinced this is
on him.

Director’s choice of how to shoot the scene
If I’m an actor, I’m not going to fiddle with the weapon
once it is certified to be properly prepared. I might
change a dynamic I wasn’t aware of.
I will say, if I were shooting the weapon, I would watch
how it was prepared and make sure I could understand why
it wouldn’t hurt anyone.
I would do my best to set it up so I didn’t have to shoot
aiming at someone. A scene can be filmed so that it looks
like the shooter is aiming at the target, but is really
off by a few feet, so no one can get hurt.
Just because I don’t like Baldwin as a person, I do not
think he would harm someone on the set by being reckless.
If it is proven otherwise, I’ll accept it. Not trying to
cover for him unjustly.
This would put me in shock, and I can’t imagine Baldwin
feeling any different about taking the life of someone
he knows like that.
Manslaughter at least.

Lock him up.
Alec’s prior comments about people and guns give him no quarter from being treated exactly like he treats others.
He specifically railed Cheney’s hunting accident and used that accident to attack others in other posts, in the past.
No quarter should be given him. He’s used firearm accidents as weapons agains those he didn’t like and wanted to skewer.
And who the he-double-toothpicks was the props handler who allowed live ammo on the set at all?
And the 5-in-1 blackpowder blanks they use don’t look ANYTHING like a live round. How a live round get into the gun?
There’s more to this than they’re telling us.
That said, idiot Baldwin broke one of the most important commandments of gun safety.
