I have three computers and need more than one hooked to the net but with blocking for the kids. I also need a line to a computer in a different room. I am spending over 200 per month on various telecom and am not sure I need it. I need to figure out what is needed where. Who or what should I call and how much should I expect to spend? I thought of calling a Best Buy guy who lives in our town. Is this a good idea?

Here's a 2.4Ghz P4 with a random reboot problem. Yes, at any given moment, it reboots itself spontaneously. Problem did not go away after power supply swap. Here's the odd part: in BIOS diagnostics, I see these voltages: +12: 11.51 +5: 5.12 -12: -11.62 -5: -61.34 I reinstalled WinXPpro (wondering if it were some kind of driver problem): no dice. Then I installed Kubuntu, but again, the problem persists. I think the power regulation on the motherboard is shot, but would like to save this hardware. Any thoughts?

Is the GED test the same in every state or is it different? My son took it yesterday and said it was a piece of cake and said people you would not think would be able to pass it did. My only defense is I didn't cause this one. My daughter managed to either uninstall or disable ALL the USB ports on her Dell running Windows XP, so that even the mouse and keyboard won't work. On restart, the computer is stuck trying to run the found new hardware wizard, but it doesn't matter because I can't do anything w/o mouse or keyboard. There are no PS2 connectors on this computer. I have a heat pump (Ruud) and it's normally in good working order. I had it worked on and checked two months ago, it's not low on freon. It's frozen over. I am too.
