NEW YORK (AP) — A federal judge on Friday ordered the U.S. government to free former Columbia University graduate student Mahmoud Khalil from the immigration detention center where he has been held since early March while the Trump administration sought to deport him over his role in pro-Palestinian protests.
Ruling from the bench in New Jersey, U.S. District Judge Michael Farbiarz said it would be “highly, highly unusual” for the government to continue to detain a legal U.S. resident who was unlikely to flee and hadn’t been accused of any violence.
In reaching his decision, he said Khalil is likely not a flight risk and “is not a danger to the community. Period, full stop.”
He ordered Khalil released from a detention center in rural Louisiana later Friday.

Sounds like Loverboy Farbiarz needs a date for the weekend to go out with him and meet and greet his America-hating fans.

“…a legal US resident…”.
So, not a legal US citizen. No idea what ‘rights’ he has as a legal resident, but it damn sure doesn’t mean he is a US citizen.

“A Federal Judge”?
The would be King’s name is U.S. District Judge Michael Farbiarz.
Doesn’t sound Anglo-Saxon in the least.
The King of Kings, traitor Roberts, would likely proclaim the district judge to be non-partisan.

The administration should have a judge in Alaska or something order him to remain confined. How does a New Jersey judge have jurisdiction in Louisiana?

Just appeal it to the Supreme Court this guy cannot get released he’s a security threat

Too bad the Judge isn’t in Louisiana. Take it to a Fed Judge there and say that it is their jurisdiction and their case.
To: Yogafist
How does a New Jersey judge have jurisdiction in Louisiana? Federal District Judges have plenary authority over EVERYTHING; all cases great and small arising anywhere in the world. Their judgments are of greater authority than Divine Writ; to oppose them is rank HERESY. All Bow before the almighty Federal District Judge.
