I've got this evil spybot, undertonenet.com on my computer. Neither spybot search and destroy or lavasoft adaware removes it. I run them regularly. I suspect it comes from the drudgereport, fwiw.

A FReeper running for City Council needs a little "poll" help about a debate. He is already leading, but a few choice votes from other FReepers would solidify the lead. He is the Challenger and the poll is on the right-hand side. This FReeper is very close to me and I know him well...he's a solid conservative.
  • Need FReeper Help - 2002 Survey of Business Owners and Self-Employed Persons

I need help. Back in 2000, I sent in my Census form with only the Constitutionally required information on it. Yesterday, I received in the mail from the Commerce Department a 2002 Survey of Business Owners and Self-Employed Persons. Now this puppy is intrusive and it says I MUST complete it. I am furious about this intrusion, and strongly suspect some mid-level Census Bureau-cRAT is getting even with those of us who took a strong Constitutional stand against their intrusion in 2000. The form is OMB No. 0607-0902, and the questions it asks range from what's your race to where...

This is only a report of some good things going on for comment and discussion. Few of us mouth the words these days without a mix of irony and disillusionment. But a former Tucsonan now stationed in Iraq is still firmly committed to winning the hearts and minds of the Iraqis - especially the children. In country only since early March, 1st Lt. Alex Diefenbach, 25, has set up a Web site and plan aimed at getting supplies to Iraqi schoolchildren. Dubbed Operation I CAN, the project began as a way for soldiers and their families to help the schoolchildren...

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Republicans say a fundraiser headlined by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger next week may bring in up to $2 million and be one of the state party's biggest paydays since the Ronald Reagan era - if not the biggest ever. Schwarzenegger's election last year marked a turning point for the state party, which for years saw Democrats control the state's top offices. The governor's success has attracted donors who "believe, for the first time in a long time, that the Republican Party can deliver in November," said Karen Hanretty, a spokeswoman for the state party. "People like to...

Help! HI, i'm a poor college student with a broke computer. I bought a HP Pavilion 532W IBM type computer, running windows XP. Today I was having problems with the computer, every time I booted up I got an error stating "could not load image.dll" or something like that. So in my wisdom i tried to fix the problem by going back to various system restore points. I went all the way back to some date in feb. When the computer rebooted, windows would not load at all and i got an error message to that effect. Everytime i retried,...

OS: Windows XP Home Edition Can someone teach me how to disable those annoying "informational balloons?" For example, when I connect to the 'Net, I don't need to be reminded that "DSL is now connected," or some such nonsense. What makes these balloons doubly-annoying is that they only pop-up when I'm logged-on as the System Administrator, and not simply the other User. And yes, I am the SA, so make fun of me if you wish . . . but please help. Other information: Personal laptop, not networked, two users including myself.

We are trying to set up a two computer, peer-to-peer network with a laptop and desktop, both Dell machines. The desktop has Windows ME and the laptop has XP. To make a long story short, they aren't talking to each other. Help in ME says that it can network with 95, 98 and ME only. We can't find anything in XP that says it's not backwards compatible. Any suggestions?

I received the installation CD today for Microsoft Office Powerpoint 2003. Of course, it comes with no written instructions, and I'm rather stumped as to how to proceed further. Example; I try and import a 'folder' with several pics and I get either none, or just one - during my little test runs. Any tips from fellow FReepers?...My goal is to be able to take a series of digital pics and snaz them up a bit, and look like a wizard. I'm failing tonight in the wizard department! It appears I've installed correctly, but now I'm stalled.

Islamic activists: Terminate Severin By Dean Johnson Wednesday, April 28, 2004 WTKK-FM (96.9) afternoon personality Jay Severin is still on the hotseat for alleged anti-Muslim remarks made last week despite a Monday explanation he was misquoted and taken out of context. The Council on American-Islamic Relations called on WTKK-FM to fire Jay Severin yesterday, citing transcripts showing he called for killing American Muslims during a show last week. Severin has said his comments during his show on96.9 FM Thursday were aimed at religious fanatics killing Americans. But CAIR executive director Nihad Awad was not impressed after reviewing transcripts provided by...

Curry could help defeat Alzheimer's Hot curries can guard against the deterioration of the brain and help keep Alzheimer's at bay. The news comes after a study into the health benefits of curcumin, found it has power to protect against the onset of Alzheimer's disease. Curcumin is found in everything from the mildest korma to the hottest vindaloo and scientists in Italy and the US say the oil is a chemical trigger that enhances enzyme activity. They add it protects the brain against the progression of neurodegenerative disease, reports The Times. Studies on rats found that curcumin induces an enzyme,...

I apologize for the vanity, but where else can one go for help on FR except to Freepers? Thanks in advance.

I need some help. In my office I can only listen to AM on-line. Usually I listen to KWOS am 950 out of Missouri. Generally, this is a pretty good station and their line-up is great. They go from Neal Boortz, to Rush then to Sean. Lately, they have been off-air quite often and I am getting sick of it. Do any of you listen to Rush on line? If so, please post your stations of choice. The same line up would be preferred, but Rush only is better than nothing...... Thanks, FRiends!

http://www.virtualinformation.com/ebay_images/ctv1lg.jpg I'm trying to connect my PC to my TV. I can't get that to work unfortunitly. If there are any PC experts, can anyone explain what that bottom right connector (next to the audio jack connector) goes to? It looks like it would go to something like what a mouse/keyboard uses, but I don't see anything spare like that on my PC. Many thanks for your help.
