House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan said Tuesday that he would absolutely not be drafted as a presidential candidate. As businessman Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Ohio Gov. John Kasich vie to win the GOP's nomination, many pundits had speculated that Ryan could have entered the fray during a brokered Republican National Convention in July. "I do not want, nor will I accept the nomination," Ryan said. "Period. End of story."

It was weird that an angry Code Pink-style protester interrupted last night's Republican presidential debate with a barrage of familiar Democratic talking points about George W. Bush - that he lied the country into a disastrous war in Iraq, failed to prevent the September 11 attacks, and even whiffed on an opportunity to kill Osama bin Laden. It was especially weird that the protestor was one Donald J. Trump, who happens to be the front-runner for the Republican nomination. Trump didn't just call the Iraq war a mistake. He called it "a big fat mistake." And he didn't call it...

By Morgan Little September 24, 2013, 11:52 a.m. President Obama has been burned again by a hot microphone, with an offhand joke that he had to quit smoking “because I’m scared of my wife,” captured during the U.N. General Assembly. “I hope you quit smoking,” Obama told U.N. Special Rapporteur Maina Kiai during a brief exchange Monday, with the president admitting that he still chews Nicorette gum. “No, no, I haven’t had a cigarette in probably six years,” Obama said. “That’s because I’m scared of my wife.” Scared or not, Obama’s timeline, which would place his last cigarette around 2007,...

TUCSON, AZ (KGUN - TV) - Arizona Senator John McCain now says soldiers sent to the border should be armed. This revelation comes one day after Senate democrats shot down McCain's border plan to send 6,000 soldiers to the border. At a town hall meeting in Tucson, McCain first told 60 of his supporters in attendance that President Obama's plan to send 1,200 soldiers would not work because the soldiers would only be assigned to "desk jobs." (snip) Nunez asked: "What do you say to the those who accuse you of throwing out numbers, sending 6,000 troops to the border,...

Title truncated. Original title below: Video: Barack Obama: Americans Are Tired of Politicians Who “Talk the Talk But Won’t Walk the Walk” ...on Fiscal Responsibility. Yes. He said it with a straight face. Barack Obama tripled the federal budget deficit last year. He will likely top that this year. Just yesterday he signed legislation that authorized the US government to increase the debt by $1.9 trillion. Today, Barack Obama had the gall to lecture America on politicians who, “Talk the talk but won’t walk the walk on fiscal responsibility.”

When politicians are caught out in lies, their supporters often resort to the old cliché: all politicians lie. But that is itself a lie: most don’t. Even among those who do, there are enormous differences in the importance and frequency of the lies. And it is surely now clear that this nation has a far from routine problem in the scale and regularity of President Obama’s lying. When politicians lie they are usually trying to avoid political damage, or to make themselves look good. Bill Clinton lied (and got himself impeached) to save himself from embarrassment about his relationship with...

As DC Democrats slink behind closed doors to craft a final health-care bill -- thousands of pages long and sure to sap the nation's economic future -- Americans need to ask: Just what are Dems so ashamed of? "We will do what is necessary to pass the bill," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi insisted, as she and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid moved to forgo a panel to finalize legislation. Instead, they'll build their Frankenstein's monster of a bill in secret, mocking democratic principles all the way. So much for President Obama's vows of transparency -- and bipartisanship.

I would be remiss if I did not supplement my column today regarding Obama's Work Ethic with additional information that has come to my attention via our readers and my own research. Obama claimed during the campaign to have worked his way through school. That was meant to bring him down to earth -- as a person who pulled himself up by his own bootstraps and was able to pass through Occidental College, Columbia University and Harvard Law School, while working! Barack Obama: the personification of the American dream. Except that it is a false image. Newsweek published an article...
