  • White Officer Claims Bias by Ithaca Police

ITHACA, NY--The City of Ithaca, Police Chief Ed Vallely, Deputy Chief John Barber, Deputy Chief Pete Tyler and the Tompkins County District Attorney's office discriminated against Ithaca Police Officer Chris Miller and other white male officers, Miller is alleging in a $17 million lawsuit filed in federal court May 20. The lawsuit alleges they increased their discrimination against Miller after he filed human-rights complaints and retaliated with baseless accusations, threats of indictment and termination, harassment, greater scrutiny, and unjustified and unlawful discipline, including a bogus investigation of him in 2009. The suit also names the Ithaca Police Benevolent Association and...

I watched the Fox News version of the debate again, and you could hear the chatter after the debate was over. Palin went over to Gwen first to greet her, and Gwen asks, "Now that wasn't hard was it?" Palin responded, "Not at all." and walked away. Then Biden walked over and Gwen said, "You did a very very good job." The condescension was sickening.

Should Gwen Ifill recuse herself from the VP debate given that her Obama book is coming out Jan. 20, 2009? For those who think she ought to, they might make their feelings known to PBS CEO Paula Kerger. Her phone is 703-739-8619. They might also wish to address their concerns with Sharon Rockefeller, CEO of WETA/Washington from where Ifill broadcasts and does her show. Ms. Rockefeller’s phone is 703-998-2089.
