A Senate candidate was booed and jeered as he publicly disavowed his support for Donald Trump and asked the Republican nominee to step down on Saturday. Speaking at a campaign event, Nevada Republican Rep. Joe Heck — who is currently running to replace Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid — said he could no longer support Trump due to the nominee’s past behavior and comments. (RELATED: Trump Apologizes After Hidden Cam Video Surfaces Of Him Talking Lewd About Women) “I cannot in good conscience continue to support Donald Trump nor can I vote for Hillary Clinton,” Heck said to boos. ...more...

A divided Republican Party descended into turmoil, as a startling chorus of GOP candidates and officials repudiated their own presidential candidate and scrambled to find personal paths to political survival just a month before Election Day. Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus on Saturday told party officials to redirect funds away from nominee Donald Trump to down-ballot candidates, according to an official informed of the decision.

Jack Welch, the former GE chief and longtime Republican, withdrew his support for Donald Trump on Saturday night, calling for a new GOP nominee.... ...."Like Republican message on Economy, Security and Supreme Court...Unfortunately, wrong messenger...Party must change nominee now," Welch tweeted.

A wave of Republican officials abandoned Donald Trump Saturday, but, at least for now, rank-and-file Republicans are standing by the party's presidential candidate, according to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll conducted immediately after audio was unearthed Friday... . . . But voters are largely viewing Trump's comments through their own partisan lens: 70 percent of Democrats say Trump should end his campaign, but just 12 percent of Republicans -- and 13 percent of female Republicans -- agree.

Why did senior Clinton campaign officials order their dirty tricks team to release the Trump tape this past Friday instead of the Friday before Election Day? Dr. Lifson answers: The leak of an old hot mic recording of a private conversation between a TV host and Trump probably was originally scheduled for the Friday before Election Day. But the Wikileaks revelations about Hillary could not be allowed to dominate the weekend pre-debate chatter. An alternative explanation: The Clinton campaign believes that waiting to release the tape until the Friday before Election Day would be too late. The campaign believes that...

Ohio Sen. Rob Portman became the latest Republican senator to call on Donald Trump to quit the race. “While I continue to respect those who still support Donald Trump, I can no longer support him,” Mr. Portman said in a statement. “I continue to believe our country cannot afford a Hillary Clinton presidency. I will be voting for Mike Pence for president.” Mr. Portman becomes the latest in a flood of Republicans to have abandoned the party’s presidential nominee Saturday, a day after a 2005 recording emerged of Mr. Trump making lewd and degrading comments about women.

I’m going to link an article as an example of the point I want to make here, even though this article is probably already a FR link. It’s from the LA Times: Transcripts: What the mics caught Donald Trump saying in 2005 and what he said in his taped apology. And it’s very nasty - not because it doesn’t tell the truth, but because of how it lies with the truth. It slams the transcript of Donald 11 years ago directly in to the transcript of his apology, same text, no visual or layout breaks. In other words, it very...

Donald Trump, under pressure to step aside as the Republican presidential candidate after the disclosure of his having made lewd comments about women, said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal on Saturday that there is “zero chance I’ll quit.” “I never, ever give up,” Mr. Trump said. He also said his campaign isn’t in crisis: “The support I’m getting is unbelievable, because Hillary Clinton is a horribly flawed candidate...”

I’ve had it with this crappy liberal progressive media. And here’s a warning, since you don’t want to report what’s actually happening in the world, there will be a consequence. Many across this great Nation know of your blatant and obvious collusion with the Obama administration and the Hillary Clinton campaign, like CNN’s Wolf Blitzer dancing and singing at the DNC convention. A solid contingent of folks are going to ensure you are not dancing and singing the evening of November 8th. As for Donald Trump and this audio tape from 11 years ago, “what difference at this point does...

All the Republicans who are coming out against Trump obviously want Clinton to win. We need to send them a message that it is the REPUBLICANS who will be blamed for the continuing destruction of this country. And the Republican elites SHOULD be blamed if there is a Clinton win.

Just saw the entire Trump / Billy Bush tape on CNN and it was an eye opener versus reading the transcript. I admit I was worried about the impact of the transcript, and still am. But ... after watching and listening, it is 100% obvious Trump was goofing and giggling around, being silly, light-hearted and playful, and Billy Bush was giggling uncontrollably because Trump was being totally silly to entertain him. Even the story about pursuing some married woman was pretty lightly related, but that part did sound like it's based on a real life Donald attempted and failed flirtation....

Clinton operatives, alleged to be working in conjunction with the Washington Post, released a brief audio tape from eleven years ago that captures Donald Trump in some unsavory locker-room banter that included a reference to grabbing a certain part of the female anatomy. Multiple sources have now indicated this tape’s release was initiated weeks earlier, and that both House Speaker Paul Ryan and GOP Chair Reince Priebus, had been made aware of its intended use – and then failed to notify the Trump campaign, making them complicit in the Clinton Machine’s intent to harm the Trump campaign.

But then, at mid-morning, DC Whispers put up a story that Clinton operatives, working with the Washington Post made both House Speaker Paul Ryan and GOP Chairman Rence Priebus aware that the Billy Bush audio tape was coming weeks ago, but they failed to notify the Trump campaign, making them complicit with Team Clinton in maximizing harm to Trump’s chances.

If Democrats and the mainstream think Donald Trump's supporters are going to abandon him, they're sorely mistaken. Trump fans rallied outside of Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan on Saturday afternoon. Trump's social media director Dan Scavino tweeted video of Trump greeting a large group of raucous supporters out on the sidewalk. An enthusiastic Trump waved to the crowd and yelled back a supporter, "I'm with you!"

Donald Trump emerged from Trump Tower just moments ago to greet the crowd of supporters that have gathered throughout the day in support of his candidacy despite the backlash he is receiving from a leaked audio tape that is damning to his campaign. Although many GOP leaders have called for Trump to step down just 31 days before the general election, a group of his supporters gathered in Manhattan Saturday outside Trump Tower, where top campaign officials and surrogates met throughout the day. Just one day ahead of the Clinton v. Trump debate in St. Louis, the campaign efforts have...

Governor Mike Pence will no longer be attending a Saturday campaign event in Wisconsin with House Speaker Paul Ryan, according to Politico. Donald Trump was scheduled to attend the event but was disinvited by Ryan after a leaked audio tape from 2005 sparked controversy. As of Friday, Pence had still planned to attend. A top Pence advisor says Pence was not disinvited but has refused to attend.

Add Arnold Schwarzenegger to the growing list of Republicans who have pulled support from Donald Trump. On Saturday, the Terminator star and former Republican governor of California said he will not vote for the Republican candidate in the presidential election for the first time since becoming a citizen in 1983. Schwarzenegger did not say which other candidate he would vote for on Nov. 8.
