Number one and only Grandson is now an E-4. I won't see him until later this month, he is in A/T.

Only one more week of basic training for my grandson, then he's off to Arkansas for computer school.This is from Fort Benning, I scanned it from wallet size.

Grandson Gerry was back from drill a little early, new BDUs issued.

My grandson just headed off to his first national guard drill. Basic is in February then he has about 8 months of special computer school in Arkansas.I feel downright ancient this morning! I know it will be too damned quiet around here.

The project was approved in advance but when Gerry started setting up, and they realized what a trebuchet is, they confiscated his tennis balls, LOL In the last shot you can see a ball headed downrange, up in the top right corner.

I picked up Gerry's tux today, they grow up way too fast.

My grandson Gerry, on the left, has the job of drill training and keeping the drill team in top notch shape at St. Augustine High. He even sounds like a drill Sgt, LOL. He has grown from a kid to a fine young man so fast it is scary.He will graduate this year.

Like all parents and grandparents, I wanted my children and grandchildren to be smarter, healthier, happier, freer and more prosperous than my generation. Dear FReepers, I received a call from my daughter in the Philippines, advising me that my 1 year old grandson, Jorge, has been ill for several days with a high fever, and he is unable to keep down his food. She took him to a doctor and got medicine for him, but it is apparently not working. Therefore, once again I am requesting prayers from the FReeper Prayer Warriors.
