Edward Theodore Gein died of natural causes, at the age of 78. Ed Gein was born to George and Augusta Gein on August 27, 1906 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He was preceeded in death by his older brother Henry, who died in 1944. On November 17, 1957 police in Plainfield, Wisconsin arrived at the dilapidated farmhouse of Eddie Gein who was a suspect in the robbery of a local hardware store and disappearance of the owner, Bernice Worden.
