Israeli supervision over the Rafiah crossing between Gaza and Egypt has proven ineffective in preventing the free passage of terrorists into and out of Gaza. Senior members of the Islamic Jihad terror organization, including terrorists wanted by the IDF, recently left the Gaza district to make the Moslem Haj to Mecca. The terrorists used that freedom of movement to hold meetings with senior Islamic Jihad officials from Syria and Lebanon. Armed Palestinians briefly seized the United Nations club in Gaza City early Sunday, throwing two explosive devices. They officials said five armed men tied up the guard at the building before throwing the explosives. No one was hurt, they said. The building was damaged by the blasts. GAZA CITY -- The Israeli air force attacked two buildings in the Gaza Strip early Saturday in the first air attacks since Israel withdrew from Gaza last week after 38 years of occupation, the army said. There were no immediate reports of casualties. The air strikes came after militants launched 21 homemade rockets from the Gaza Strip into the Israeli town of Sderot, injuring five Israelis, one moderately and the rest lightly, the army said.
