Disney's 'Gay Days' events have gone ahead as planned, in defiance of Florida governor and presidential nominee Ron DeSantis' battle with the company over the state's so-called 'Don't Say Gay' laws. Thousands celebrated Pride events at World Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Orlando over the weekend, despite the company's legal war with the conservative governor over his stance regarding LGBTQ issues. The celebration, which started on Saturday and goes on for five days, is 'comprised of multiple events staged at world famous attractions, gay & lesbian nightclubs, and unique venues secured for the purpose of creating an inclusive LGBTQ atmosphere,'...

Tens of thousands of people flocked to “Gay Days” events at Disney in defiance of the theme park’s legal row with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his so-called “Don’t Say Gay” legal crackdown. A sea of red shirts — many emblazoned with “Say Gay” or “Don’t say DeSantis” — descended on Orlando from Saturday for the half-week of pool parties, rides and drag bingo to mark the start of Pride Month. It was a clear stand against presidential nominee DeSantis, whose legislation and legal feud with Disney sparked LGBTQ+ rights organizations to issue travel warnings on the Sunshine State. ...

Twenty-three of Major League Baseball’s 30 teams are slated to host LGBT “pride nights” in 2018, leaving just two teams that have never officially celebrated homosexuality. Most of the events are slated to occur in June, Outsports.com reported, to coincide with LGBT Pride Month. Among the teams joining the trend are the Chicago Cubs, who are also doing a second event in August; Chicago White Sox, New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, and Kansas City Royals. The Brewers, Baltimore Orioles, and Cincinnati Reds are among the teams officially joining the trend for the first time...

New reports are emerging that Disney warned the FBI about Omar Mateen several months ago. Mateen visited the parks with his wife, who told the media that he was considering attacking Disney Springs. Mateen also visited the Disney Springs (formerly known as "Downtown Disney") area during Gay Days, a weeklong LGBT festival in Orlando.

A pro-family group in Florida wants to know why Disney doesn't hold its homosexual pride event after hours – the same as an annual Christian music concert. Why does Disney continue to allow the annual observance of 'Gay Day' at the Magic Kingdom? Families are being warned to consider staying away from the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, especially Saturday, when Orlando's annual "Gay Days" includes a visit to the Disney theme park by thousands of homosexuals. David Caton of the Florida Family Association tells OneNewsNow that homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people will be in the park for "Gay Day."...

ORLANDO, Fla. — Beginning on Tuesday, more than 150,000 people will be in Orlando for the annual Gay Days event. Eyewitness News learned that event organizers are expecting record crowds, and hotels are already booked solid. Gay Days started 20 years ago as a celebration of gay pride at Orlando's most famous theme park, but now it is an economic powerhouse that pumps significant money into local businesses. The Parliament House Resort and Night Club has been planning for the event since November. "We couldn't do it if we didn't start that early," said Drew Sizemore with the Parliament House...

ORANGE COUNTY, FL (WESH/CNN) – A Christian group is protesting the annual "Gay Day" by flying a banner plane over Disney World with a warning message for visitors. The six day celebration for gay pride is a 20 year celebration, held in Orlando, FL, with Saturday spent at the Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom. "It's just about people being proud of who they are here," said Gay day participant, Floyd Benefield. With the 160,000 people visiting central Florida to celebrate, Florida Family Association is boycotting and spending $7,000 to fly banners for two full days near Disney, warning unsuspected families of...

Disney has long been the most gay friendly studio in Hollywood, having had a couple of gay production chiefs over the years, most recently Nina Jacobson, now an independent producer after being forced out in a studio purge several years ago. The studio's theme parks have allowed unofficial Gay Day celebrations for years, prompting a host of venemous attacks from various Christian right anti-gay zealots. But Disney now has a really big first -- Rich Ross, Hollywood's first openly gay studio chief.

Iowa at Disney encouraging gays to move to Hawkeye State October 2nd, 2009 by Eric Carpenter Figuring that plenty of gay couples in California are frustrated by the inability to get legally married here, representatives from Iowa have set up a booth at Gay Days at the Disneyland Resort encouraging them to consider moving to the Hawkeye State. Iowa is one of four states nationwide that allow gay marriages. That state’s Supreme Court made the decision earlier this year. Two representatives for three regional visitors bureaus flew out for the three-day Gay Days, when 30,000 partipants roll into town to...

Hypocritical Democrats Weigh In On Foley Saga By DANIEL JOHN SOBIESKI Democrats and much of the so-called mainstream media are having a field day with the Foley affair, citing it as an example of Republican hypocrisy — talking “morals” and “values” while shielding a child predator. Nothing of the sort happened. The fact is that up to recently the GOP leadership didn’t know much more than what many in the media knew for sometime — that Florida representative Mark Foley had sent inappropriate e-mails to a young male page asking what he wanted for his birthday and for a picture....

During the annual Gay Days in Orlando earlier this summer, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau bought a billboard to entice travelers to head south. Fort Lauderdale has emerged as a hot spot for gay-friendly travel, a market so lucrative that state tourism marketer Visit Florida recently created a task force to explore how to better cater to gay travelers, who are estimated to have $641 billion in purchasing power this year. "We rolled out what we call the rainbow carpet a couple of years ago, and we've seen a lot of green success," said Nicki Grossman, president...

WILLIAM Jefferson Blythe III was born on August 19, 1946, in Hope, Ark. After his mother remarried, he took the family surname, Clinton. Clinton was a good student. He enjoyed playing the saxophone and even considered a professional musical career. While in high school, a fortuitous meeting with President John Kennedy led him to choose a life of public service.

There's plenty of advertising in this year's official Gay Days program. But other than Virgin Megastore and Orlando Premium Outlets, no local tourism interests -- theme parks, restaurants or I-Drive businesses -- bought space. Ditto for the Gay Days Expo. Walking among the 75 booths on Thursday, I found several for tourism groups, including the state's Visit Florida and convention bureaus in Sarasota, Clearwater/St. Petersburg and Miami. But the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau? No presence at all. "I think they're losing out," said Chris Alexander-Manley, one of the Gay Days organizers. I think businesses aren't there because they...

Last year the Massachusetts Legislature stunned parents and citizens by raising the funding for homosexual programs in the public schools by 70% -- from $250,000 to $425,000 (and overwhelmingly passing it over the Governor's veto). And what followed has been a year of unprecedented, aggressive, and militant homosexual activism in the public schools, from "Gay Days" and the Day of Silence in schools across the state, and even elementary school horrors such as the "King and King" incident. Much of this money goes directly to the "Governor's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, which funnels many thousands of dollars to...

This week, many an unsuspecting American family will travel to Walt Disney World, where they will find themselves at the epicenter of a recurring cultural earthquake. There, at America's favorite family destination, hordes of homosexuals will congregate at Pleasure Island for an annual exercise in societal entropy. "Gay Days at Disney" they call it -- though it is anything but. "Gay" in the current vernacular is, of course, the term used by the fashionably PC to describe homosexuals. In dictionaries just a couple of decades ago, however, this same adjective meant "happy" or "a state of high spirits." A century...
