ORANGE COUNTY, FL (WESH/CNN) – A Christian group is protesting the annual "Gay Day" by flying a banner plane over Disney World with a warning message for visitors.
The six day celebration for gay pride is a 20 year celebration, held in Orlando, FL, with Saturday spent at the Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom.
"It's just about people being proud of who they are here," said Gay day participant, Floyd Benefield.
With the 160,000 people visiting central Florida to celebrate, Florida Family Association is boycotting and spending $7,000 to fly banners for two full days near Disney, warning unsuspected families of the festivities.
Event participants say both sides should respect their differences.
"I don't fly a banner or fly a flag, and they shouldn't either," said a Gay Days participant.
"The economy is improving because of what Gay Days bring into it," said Gay Day president, Chris Alexander-Manley. "Our crowd behaves better than most convention crowds, so come on out and see what it's really about."
"Gay Day" brings an estimated $150 million to the area, and some say the opposition to their sexual orientation will not keep them away.
"They really don't have a grasp of what it means to be tolerant of people that are different from you," Benefield said.

We have friends who are Disney regulars, and they say they like Gay Day, because all the gays just stand around posing, instead of creating long lines for the rides.

No thanks, especially when Disney and the local cops ignore reports of parents having to snatch their kids away from people who are trying to drag them off into the restrooms.
Not to mention the “Night of the Living Dead” look of the throngs of butt worshippers milling about.
In that subculture, they advertise “Gay Day” as a nice way to hook up for no attachments sex, not enjoy the amusement park or the history of the place.
Every year they have this atrocity, parents who make the mistake of showing up are horrified at some of what happens.
And every year it gets swept under the rug by the willing press.
Honestly, I’m totally tolerant of homosexuals. I don’t care at all what they do, IN THEIR OWN HOME.
I don’t want to go to Gay Days anywhere. I don’t fit, I don’t care for the agenda and I would go to Islands of Adventure anyway. Better park and HP land is wicked cool!

And as far as behavior, the sodomites have no ability to behave themselves in any civilized fashion. Their street fairs and "pride" parades prove it. And a Freeper responding to last year's event spoke of the days that he work at the park during this "period of perversion" when they would, with regular frequency, find homos trying to "score" in secluded, and sometimes not-so-secluded, places in the park. Absolutely filthy.
I find it odd that Disney World would sponsor and promote such an even that would undoubtedly reduce attendance and revenue.
Has the Florida Family Association asked Disney not to schedule Gay Days at Disney World?
I will get flamed, but, it seems that problems with various groups are really magnified when there are critical masses of certain groups around.
If there are too many black or Hispanic gang type people around, it changes the atmosphere and vibe of a place.
If there are too many homosexuals, it changes the atmosphere too.
If you think about the atmosphere in the inner city, or gay friendly places like San Francisco, you know what I’m talking about.
I don’t like to dwell on stereotypes, but, if you do see critical masses of various groups, you can see where the stereotypes come from.
I personally know people who won’t go to Magic Mountain theme park, near LA, or Six Flags America, near Washington, DC, anymore. And their reasons have to do with the clientele of these parks. There are so many gang type people there, behaving badly, so that it impacts everyone else there. Behaviors such as pushing, shoving, cutting in line, threatening people, using vile language, etc. are everyday events at these theme parks among these visitors.
yes, there are white kids who behave badly too at these places, but the numbers and degree of bad behavior are much less.

This is a public service...I can’t imagine the horror visited upon families that show up there looking forward to the magic of Disney and instead are confronted with...who knows what. I still vividly remember the wonder and magic of Disney World from when I went as a young kid. For this group (aided and abetted by Disney) to pollute that experience for today’s kids is just evil.
There are many more amusement parks in Florida, if I recall (Busch Gardens, Sea World). Thanks to this group, parents might be able to make different plans and salvage their vacation.
I heard that there are big problems with this at the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco. There is a great desire of many people there to have public homosexual sex.
Authorities came up with an idea of erecting a circus tent, to that visitors to the fair who had the strong urge to have public sex acts could go in the tent and be out of public view.
I don’t know if this ever happened, but that tells you something. Rather than being able to enforce public decency, authorities in S.F. thought they should erect a circus tent so that partiers could have some privacy. Amazing thought process there.
