[There basically two kinds of people in the U.S. of A. - people who want to live in freedom, and people who desire to be herded around. Ironically, the herd people are absolutely convinced that they are the ones who are truly on the side of freedom. That is what makes them such an actual threat to freedom in America. While they prance around boasting about the freedom that they believe they represent, they are instead shackling America in tyranny more each day. The following is a slideshow introduction on the Nuclear Counterarguments 22-Essay Series preview page. The series is...

DOYLESTOWN, PA (AP) A computer failure may mean that some Bucks County gun owners won’t get their renewal notices before their permits expire. Sheriff Edward Donnelly says he thinks no more than a few dozen renewal notices have gone out late. But Andrew Barniskis, the legislative chairman for the Falls Township Rifle and Pistol Association, says he thinks the problem is more widespread. Barniskis says he brought the problem of late renewal notices to Donnelly’s attention more than a year ago and was assured the problem would be fixed. Gun permits must be renewed every five years, and the sheriff’s...

I wonder if the rules on this forum are applied equally? Several weeks ago I was denied posting privileges because I jokingly advocated a "plan b" in fighting the so far failed war on illegal immigration. My "plan b" was to have border guards retreat to within 200 yards of the border and while fitted with night vision goggles simply drop any illegals attempting to gain access to America. Now frankly I am not concerned with the fact I was denied posting privileges for a day(reason given was "advocating violence")but I wonder if the folks who post pictures of exploding...
  • The End of America: May 10, 2005

On Tuesday, May 10, 2005, America became a true police state. Your U.S. senators voted -- unanimously, with no discussion, and without even reading the bill -- to create a national ID card. The Real ID Act blackmails state governments into turning their drivers licenses into a draconian tool of the federal homeland security apparatus. If states refuse, their citizens lose such "privileges" as being allowed to board an airplane, enter a federal building, or apply for social security. President Bush is expected to sign the bill eagerly on Thursday. In three years -- by May 2008 -- this Stalin-style...

Michael Gunther was sentenced today in Sarpy County, Nebraska to life without parole for the shooting death of Mike Zawodny last May. During the trial, he also openly admitted killing my sister Sally Kennedy, known here as 'HeartofGold'. I haven't gotten the details yet, but I'm told he also received an additional sentence on a gun charge. This opens the way for Gunther's transfer to Iowa to stand trial for Sally's murder, which will probably take place sometime in July.

It is with deep sadness that I have to share the news of the passing of my dear friend and fellow FReeper, Henry Lee II.    In late February, he FReepmailed several of us and told us he had been diagnosed with Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, a blood disease that is rarely fatal.  However, complications arose and he went to heavan March 1st.    He leaves behind a young wife and two children, a daughter age 6 and a son age 3.   We will all remember him for his irreverent sense of humor, his love of posting to threads that...

MOBILE, Ala. - A medical team at the University of South Alabama's Children's & Women's Hospital have closely monitored the progress of a newborn who weighed only 10 ounces at birth on Feb. 15. His parents, Phillip and Monica Whitlock, said tiny Malachi Andreas Whitlock is so far holding his own. "I feel he's got 100 percent chance of survival," his father said. They said they chose the name Malachi because it's one of the smallest books of the Bible, and Malachi means "messenger of God." "He's so small, and he's sent a message to us of what love is,"...

Onyx's husband fell thru a glass door and severed an artery in his arm this morning. He almost bled to death while waiting for 911 to come, but they made it. They've been at the hospital since noon, with him in and out of surgery. They are back in surgery now, with 3 surgeons trying to repair a lot of torn and severed veins and archeries. He's lost a lot of blood, they've given him 6 pints so far. It's very complicated, but those are the basics.
