The dramatic Tuesday hearing for former national security adviser Mike Flynn didn’t produce a sentence. Instead, Judge Emmet Sullivan gave Mr. Flynn a delay to reconsider his options. RUSH: No, no, the bottom line is that Flynn wants this guilty plea. He’s told a judge. He and his lawyers have told the judge. The judge has offered them an opportunity to go a different route here, and Flynn doesn’t want to go the different route. A federal judge lambasted former national security adviser Mike Flynn in court Tuesday, threatening to upend a proposed agreement between him and prosecutors that he should receive a lenient sentence after his extensive cooperation with investigators. “I’m not hiding my disgust—my disdain—for this criminal offense,” said U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan. The judge was giving all the signs that he was going to sentence Flynn to prison time. Gave him a chance to postpone to maximize his cooperation.

Judge Sullivan told Flynn: “You were an unregistered agent of a foreign country while serving as the National Security Adviser to the President! “Arguably, this undermines everything this flag over here stands for! Arguably, you sold your country out!” Good Lord! And Hillary walks free!

Former national security adviser Michael Flynn faced some protestors Tuesday as he made his first appearance at a federal courthouse in D.C. since pleading guilty last year to lying to FBI agents.
