An animated crowd of more than 3,000 supporters are rallying for GOP Senate hopeful Scott Brown in Worcester this afternoon, in a last-minute get-out-the vote push for the suddenly popular state senator. “This race is close, but it’s not over,” Brown said at a campaign stop earlier today. “Every vote will count in this election.” While President Obama stumps for Attorney General Martha Coakley in Boston, Brown is taking the stage at Mechanics Hall with Red Sox [team stats] ace pitcher Curt Schilling [stats], Boston College legend and NFL star Doug Flutie, “Cheers” star John Ratzenberger, as well as his...

Scott Brown has made this a race, he has a great biography and has received no help from the NRSC or the RNC as far as I know had given him $0 thru 12/31/09. They gave Scozzafava $900K and they won't give this guy a dime. They are worthless. It's like they want him to lose and let the Dems keep. What's Michael Steele talking about that he has raised all this money, he acts like it's his. I'm glad to see he's outraged about the Dem hypocrisy.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (May 15, 2006) -- Doug Flutie retired from pro football, ending a 21-year career in which the Heisman Trophy winner puzzled both opposing defenses and his own coaches with his unconventional style at quarterback. The decision by the 43-year-old Flutie was announced by the New England Patriots, for whom he played five games last season. Flutie spent 12 seasons in the NFL and also played in the USFL and the Canadian Football League. He won the CFL's Most Outstanding Player award six times and the league's Grey Cup championship three times. Flutie finishes with 14,715 passing yards and...

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (Jan. 1, 2006) -- Doug Flutie added another oddity to his football résumé when he converted a drop kick in the fourth quarter of the New England Patriots' game against the Miami Dolphins. It was the league's first drop kick since the 1941 NFL championship game, according to the web site for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. With starting quarterback Tom Brady sitting out most of the season-ending game, backup Matt Cassel threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Tim Dwight to cut Miami's lead to 25-19 with 6:10 left in the game. Flutie, who was listed as...
