DAYTON, Ohio -- A Dayton, Ohio-built Wright Flyer could take off for the first time in a century Thursday on the North Carolina coast. A replica of the airplane in which Orville and Wilbur Wright made their historic flight has completed a tour and is ready for testing at an airfield north of Kitty Hawk. The Wright Brothers Aeroplane Company built the double-decker plane in Dayton. The group led by Nick Engler plans to re-enact the first flight today and tomorrow. They'll launch the craft from a wooden rail.
