There may soon be a stealth attempt to attach the stalled so-called "food safety" bill (S. 510) to a House bill in the last days of this Congress. As this 240-page bill passed in the U. S. House (73-25), U.S. Senator Tom Coburn said the bill will raise food prices, add $1.5 billion to the deficit, and add unfunded state mandates [costs].
