Passengers on a Turkey-bound flight from Birmingham Airport experienced a mid-air drama after a pilot reportedly "fainted", forcing the plane to make an emergency landing. The Jet2 flight which was travelling to Antalya in Turkey landed in Thessaloniki in Greece because of what the airline described as a medical emergency. Tonight's Conservative Party leadership debate between Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak was halted after presenter Kate McCann fainted during the live broadcast. LOS ANGELES — Bill Nye, host of the Emmy-winning 1990s television show "Bill Nye the Science Guy," collapsed during a California speech, then got up and continued his presentation. The Los Angeles Times says the 54-year-old Nye apparently fainted on stage Tuesday evening in front of hundreds of people gathered at the University of Southern California. Paramedics and campus safety officers responded, but it's unclear if Nye was treated. USC senior Tristan Camacho says Nye collapsed in mid-sentence at the podium. Sacramento, CA -- Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger helped a student who fainted at a speech in Sacramento. Watch the boy on the left side of the screen. You can see him waver a bit, and then pass out. The Governor immediately went over the help. The boy and the Governor got a chance to talk later in the nurse's office. The student told the Governor he blames global warming for the incident.
