Just over 54 percent of Colorado voters approved on Tuesday Proposition KK, which contains an excise tax on the in-state sale of guns and ammunition. CBS News reported that roughly 1.3 million Colorado voters supported the proposition, while 1.1 million opposed it. The approved tax is 6.5 percent, which means the price of $400 firearm will rise $26 and the price of a $1,000 firearm will increase by $65 because of the new tax.

US President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19, the White House confirmed on Wednesday evening after CNN and other media outlets reported the diagnosis. Word of the diagnosis came approximately an hour and a half before Biden was expected to speak at the UnidosUS conference in Las Vegas. “I was just on the phone with President Biden. And he shared his deep disappointment at not being able to join us this afternoon. The President has been at many events as we all know and he just tested positive for COVID,” Janet Murguía, president and CEO of UnidosUS, told attendees....

Former President Donald Trump has taken serious heat since late last week, when he shared an article on his Truth Social account that included an image of him holding a baseball bat next to a picture of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Yet contrary to corporate media narratives, Trump did not create the image and says he did not see a preview of the photo before he posted a link to the article. New York Post and New York Daily News torch Trump for threats against Bragg in rare moment of agreement https://t.co/3Ig3AEyXdn — Insider News (@InsiderNews) March 25, 2023...

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in a new interview said the attack on her husband, Paul Pelosi, will affect the decision she makes of whether to retire from Congress should Democrats lose control of the House in Tuesday’s midterm elections. “I have to say my decision will be affected about what happened the last week or two,” Pelosi told CNN’s Anderson Cooper in her first sit-down interview since the attack on her husband. Pressed further on if her decision will be impacted by the attack, Pelosi told Cooper “yes.” Pelosi’s full interview with CNN is scheduled to air at 8 p.m....

Last October, a conscientious whistleblower at Abbott Nutrition wrote a letter directly to the interim chief of the FDA, acting Commissioner Janet Woodcock, and others. He claimed there were serious problems at the company’s Sturgis, Mich. plant. But the current head of the agency, FDA Commissioner Robert Califf, will testify before a congressional committee today that the top levels of the agency weren’t aware of the whistleblower’s report because of “mailroom issues.”Dozens of infants are currently being hospitalized because the specialty formula they depend on to survive is out of stock. And the FDA had “mailroom issues.”Politico:Up until now, however, FDA officials...
  • Ron Klain’s Domestic Motive for Ukraine Crisis Surfaces – White House to Blame Economic Collapse, Gas Prices and Inflation on Manufactured Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Within the book of instructions for the ideological Chicago crew (Alinsky peeps), there are chapters on how to create off-ramps to cloud their agenda. If they need a bigger cloud, they create a bigger crisis. The crisis then becomes the cover, the justification to explain the outcomes of their agenda. In the latest example, the White House is shifting blame for the collapsing economy, surging oil prices, massive gas price increases and overall U.S. inflation. The manufactured crisis in Ukraine then takes on a geopolitical angle and a domestic angle. The prior rate of inflation is now being blamed on...

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings is speaking out following the resignation of Mayor Pro-Tem Dwaine Caraway. Caraway pleaded guilty Thursday to federal corruption charges. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the IRS, Caraway accepted $450,000 in bribes and kickbacks related to a scheme that could have contributed to the demise of Dallas County Schools. Mayor Rawlings spoke publicly for the first time about the news regarding Caraway Friday morning at an event at the Dallas Regional Chamber. “We work hard to make sure our city is represented well throughout Texas, throughout our country, and throughout our world,”...

It has been said that nothing happens by accident in politics, and it is certainly no accident that Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, members of the U.S. Senate and the mainstream media are all suddenly buzzing about “Russian hacking” and “Russian interference” in our elections.  Over the past 48 hours, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and just about every other major news source in America has been breathlessly telling us that the CIA has concluded that the Russians “intervened” in the presidential election with the specific goal of helping Donald Trump win.  The implication is that if the Russian...

    NY Post ^ | December 9, 2016
Hillary Clinton has emerged from, in her own words, "taking selfies in the woods" to embrace the latest Democratic excuse for her election loss: so-called fake news. The latest, that is, in a growing list of scapegoats that so far includes FBI Director James Comey, Russian interference, Anthony Weiner's cellphone, Fox News and the alt-right. It includes everything, in fact, save the most obvious reason she lost: She was a lousy candidate who ran a lousy campaign.

Actress Lena Dunham, who has been aggressively campaigning for Hillary Clinton, privately doubted the Democratic presidential candidate for discrediting women who made sexual assault allegations against her husband, former President Bill Clinton, according to a report Wednesday. Dunham, a fierce advocate for Planned Parenthood and other liberal causes, reportedly made the comments at a dinner party on New York’s Upper East Side months ago. The New York Times reported: She told the guests, at the Park Avenue apartment of Richard Plepler, the chief executive of HBO, that she was disturbed by how, in the 1990s, the Clintons and their allies...
  • Turnout, a Scapegoat, Wasn’t Always the Difference This Time

Low Democratic voter turnout has been blamed for the decisive Republican victory in Tuesday’s midterm elections. It has quickly become the scapegoat, even though the Democrats invested millions of dollars in an expansive effort to persuade young and nonwhite voters who do not usually participate in midterm election to head to the polls. There is no question that turnout among core Democratic groups was lower in 2014 than it was in 2012 or even 2010. Many Democrats would have won if turnout had resembled a presidential election year. But Democrats also lost in states where turnout surpassed 2010, according to...

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama on Monday said there was "no excuse" for the cascade of computer problems that have marred the rollout of key elements in his health care law, but declared he was confident the administration would be able to fix the issues. "There's no sugarcoating it," Obama said. "Nobody is more frustrated than I am." The president said his administration was doing "everything we can possibly do" to get the federally run websites up and running. And he guaranteed that everyone who wants to get insurance through the new health care exchanges will be able to....

In her column for tomorrow's Wall Street Journal, Peggy Noonan makes an astute observation about the Obama presidency--one that also presents a puzzle, which this column will endeavor to solve. The observation is that Obama's presidency was permanently damaged by the way he and his men reacted to "the trash-talking some Republican leaders indulged in after the 2008 campaign."

"30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan is under some very serious fire this morning -- after reportedly spewing some disgusting homophobic "jokes" during a performance in Nashville last week. According to reports, Morgan took the stage at the Ryman Auditorium (pictured above) and went off about gays -- saying, "Gays need to quit being p**sies and not be whining about something as insignificant as bullying." He added, "Gay is something that kids learn from the media and programming." When talking about the possibility of his son being gay -- Tracy said he "better talk to me like a man and not...

Fauxcahontas’ Latest Lame ExcuseBy HOWIE CARR Last Updated: 2:37 AM, September 28, 2012 Boston — Fauxcahontas put up a new TV ad this week. In it, Liz Warren shares the pain her supposed Indian heritage has caused — why, her parents had to elope because her dad’s family didn’t want their son marrying a girl with Indian blood. Huh. Twila Barnes, an indefatigable Cherokee genealogist, dug up the 1932 wedding notice in the Oklahoma papers. Warren’s folks got hitched in a large Protestant church 20 miles away, then drove right back to their hometown of Wetumka. A wedding party was...

At tonight's Hanukkah party at the White House, President Obama seemed to slip a little off script when he told party goers that "we never need an excuse for a good party." All his guests laughed. From the official White House transcript: So while it is not yet Hanukkah, let’s give thanks for our blessings, for being together to celebrate this wonderful holiday season. And we never need an excuse for a good party. (Laughter.)

Staff at the state Department of Regulation and Licensing have begun to review roughly 300 e-mail complaints about doctors issuing excuse notes for protesters at the state Capitol over the weekend, officials said Tuesday. Complaints that name a specific doctor and the alleged violations of rules covered by their licenses will be forwarded to the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board. Letters specifying the complaint will be sent to the doctors at the start of the investigation. To date, the names of doctors Lou Sanner and James Shropshire have been cited in media reports about the medical excuses dispensed over the weekend....

President Barack Obama is telling high school graduates in Michigan not to make excuses, and to take responsibility for failures as well as successes. In excerpts of remarks to be delivered later Monday at Kalamazoo Central High School, Obama says that it's easy to blame others when problems arise. "We see it every day out in Washington, with folks calling each other names and making all sorts of accusations on TV," the president says. He says the high school kids can and have done better than that.

Reporting from Kabul, Afghanistan, and Washington - Before President Obama commits additional troops to Afghanistan, the U.S. needs assurances that Afghan leaders preside over a stable government that is legitimate in the eyes of its citizens, top Democratic officials said in TV appearances Sunday. White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, on CNN's "State of the Union," said the overriding question facing the Obama administration is whether it has "a credible Afghan partner for this process that can provide the security and the type of services that the Afghan people need." The White House is in the midst of a...

Regular readers of this column know that, at times, we look at the ways Muslim countries, those nations where Islam is the national religion and the foundation for their laws, are not like us (if you’ll excuse the grammar). Egypt and Turkey are two examples. Both have been in the news recently for their unabashed persecution of their Christian populations. An official policy of the Obama administration is to keep happy our pigs and those who raise them by avoiding the term “swine flu” when describing the influenza virus that jumped from pigs to people. It is not the swine...
